UN ambassador: Yes, there's no legal definition of “hate speech”

Sheila Gunn ReidRebel Host | The Gunn Show

Here at the Defend Media Freedom Conference, Andrew Lawton and I both stood up to ask questions circling around the definition of “hate speech” in light of recent United Nations machinations against it.

Ambassador David Kaye let us know that there is no actual, international, legal definition of “hate speech.”

Its dangerous that the definitions are fluid, but there is no hate speech, so there should be no definition in the first place. As far as I’m concerned the same applies to Islamophobia, homo, trans or any other kind.

Duke of P, they’re all asleep now. It’s way past their bedtime. Try again tomorrow…

Justin? Chrystia? Andrew? Those questions weren’t too scary were they? I think you’re all big kids now and can handle them.

Never allow them to define hate speech. The definition will be no protection if a leftist defines it. It will be just enough rope to hang you with.

Do not allow them to silence you. They will never silence me… I have the right to hate whomever I wish. And for whatever reason I choose…

" … can apply “hate speech” restrictions as they please." and we all know that will be to silence right wing speech.

The free speech censors, usually left wing governments, don’t want to have a legal definition of hate speech so they can apply “hate speech” restrictions as they please.

There are no hard and fast rules any more, like the rule of law. Everything is changeable in the NWO. Absolute insanity!

Affirmative Action, is Hate Speech.. Not just the Act of denying one the “Right to Work”, because of his/her Gender/Race, but in fact “telling” someone that they “Need Not Apply”, based on their Race/Gender, is in fact “Hate Speech”.. Sounds discriminatory to me, and Hateful… Oh, but no… Karma is a Bitch…:)

The fact that there is no legal definition of hate-speech means that like that other misnomer Islamophobia, its fluid, and left open to wide interpretation and that is dangerous to be sure. However I shudder to think of an international, legal definition determined by whom exactly? There is no such thing as hate-speech, only incitement to violence. A perfect example of which is what facebook just tried and has since deleted in their very own terms of service calling for literal violence attacking anyone not left wing or antifa as deemed by some outfit or other.

In regards to Islamophobia, does that include political Islam? Because as far as I’m concerned any western country that isn’t leery of it to the point of wanting to keep it out, is putting their democratic western nation at risk.
Look at the twisting and turning the UK government and media go to. to protect political Islamists. Is that hate-speech? The whole thing is not good anyway you look at it. ‘Quelling’ people is a fools game and never ends well.
