Some things never change at a United Nations Climate Change Conference, no matter where in the world they hold the event. One of those things is that the attendees love their cars!
Rows and rows of idling cars sit outside these conferences for hours on end, awaiting dignitaries and delegates, and it’s no different in Katowice Poland where a traffic jam of cars sits just outside the venue.
Poland is cold and getting into a freezing car is no fun. However, there is great irony in the line of running cars waiting to pick up the very people who push municipal anti-idling bylaws on others all across the developed world.
Especially when there is a train station right across the street!
