Unions fail to represent average workers

Ezra LevantRebel Commander

On last night's episode of The Ezra Levant Show, Catherine Swift of Working Canadians joined me to discuss the role of unions and how they fail to represent the interests of the average worker.

The majority of union members are government employees making more money than they deserve at the taxpayer's expense. Teachers unions have become increasingly active within the Liberal and Democratic parties, Ontario teachers unions have all but declared war on the Doug Ford government.

WATCH my interview with Catherine to see how the role of unions differs in Canada and the United States, and why so many blue-collar union members support President Trump.

What a wonderful exposé this is of today’s unions. They’re acting like political parties or at least wings of socialist governments. Maybe we need to form a taxpayer union before next April.

I don’t know about the rest of Canada, but the BC government wasn’t unionized until the NDP Barrett Government. Prior to that the wages were slightly lower than the private sector, we worked 8 hour days and we didn’t get paid overtime. So why did anyone choose to work for the government? Well, that was because we loved our job, and we were proud of what we did. The whole mind-set changed when we were unionized. The union organizers convinced us that we were under appreciated and underpaid. And we all bought into it…. including me. Although I must admit I didn’t think about it too much. I just thought, “More money – good, Less money – bad.” That’s the way it was in BC, and that’s why we’re in the mess we’re in today. I hate to admit it, but I guess i, as a government worker, was part of the problem.

The union goons are making the term loony left stand for ever.
