What's the opposite of diversity again? Oh yes, university.
The insanity at university campuses continues. A diversity officer at Goldsmith University is on the defensive after banning white people from an event.
Bahar Mustafa planned an event awhile back to diversify the curriculum – by banning white people.
According to The Daily Caller, Mustafa said “If you’ve been invited and you’re a man and/or white PLEASE DON’T COME just cos I invited a bunch of people and hope you will be responsible enough to respect this is a BME [Black and Minority Ethnic] Women and non-binary event only.”
She then posted a picture of herself next to a poster that reads “No white-cis-men pls” with 'tears' dripping into a cup labeled 'male tears'.
Now, Mustafa is claiming that she is incapable of racism.
In a video posted to YouTube, Mustafa is refuting claims that she's racist and sexist.
“There have been charges laid against me that I am racist and sexist towards white men. I, an ethnic minority woman, cannot be racist or sexist towards white men, because racism and sexism describe structures of privilege based on race and gender, and therefore women of color and minority genders cannot be racist or sexist, since we do not stand to benefit from such a system.”
Perhaps most concerning is what followed: “Reverse racism and sexism are not real,” she added.
She's right though. Reverse racism and sexism are not real. Because it's racism and sexism. There's no 'reverse' about it.
Do you agree that Bahar Mustafa is a racist and a sexist? Sound off in the comments.
Bravo Zulu, in 2003, an executive at the Canadian Centre for Victims of Torture, funded by taxpayers, told me they will not treat white peole because, by definition, white peole cannot be tortured. I tried to get their executive to repeat that in writing but their lawyers wouldn’t allow it.
Can you imagine anything more prejudiced than that?
The diversity officer name says it all.
And as for the “people of colour” – I guess in this day and age white is no longer a colour.
Too funny indeed.
Here is how it goes in entitled parts of Canada:
In order to be racist you need to be white. All other cultures can simply claim victim status.
@ Lance…is very much like this woman. He is an example of sexism and yet I say to him, thanks to all the men you mention who single-handedly invented everything in the world while women stood back and watched and did nothing…Oh yeah! I forgot! Women, in general, were essentially property, judged only by their beauty, not much more than slaves, until the last century (but I’ll bet most of those inventions you mention were actually the ideas of women, though…like the toilet)…but you can thank “Scientist and inventor Katharine Blodgett who was educated at Bryn Mawr College and the University of Chicago. She …was the first woman to receive a Ph.D in physics at England’s Cambridge University and the first woman hired by General Electric. During World War II, Blodgett contributed important research to military needs like gas masks, smoke screens and a new technique for de-icing airplane wings. Her work in chemistry, specifically in surfaces at the molecular level, resulted in her most influential invention: non-reflective glass. Her “invisible” glass was initially used for lenses in cameras and movie projectors; it also had military applications such as wartime submarine periscopes. Today, non-reflective glass is still essential for eyeglasses, car windshields and computer screens.” …not bad for the first woman ALLOWED to get a PhD at Cambridge…finally in the 20th century.
Yes Lance, JUST CONSIDER WHAT A LOSS TO OUR SOCIETY THAT THE CULTURE OF MALE CONTROL HAS PERPETRATED…all those brilliant but benighted women who could have improved our way of life if only they had been allowed an education and men had taken their boots off their necks. The female brain is finally becoming liberated…
Goldsmith is in shariah-ruled London UK; what do you expect?
Even if she might not, most of the people in that room will move on to a more rational and balanced view, its university after all.
How is she ethnic? She doesn’t look ethnic, but what do I know I am a white male. :-|
Why Nations Fail is a great book, and explains that once you start an institution, like the Magna Carta, it spreads and speeds up. So where it took, men 1,000 yrs to gain full rights, it only took women about 125, and gays, about 25. Because it took women longer, they think men oppressed them, when in fact, what they did, was blazed the trail and made rights for others possible!!
According to the United Nations Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Racial Discrimination, the term “racial discrimination” shall mean any distinction, exclusion, restriction, or preference based on race, colour, descent, or national or ethnic origin that has the purpose or effect of nullifying or impairing the recognition, enjoyment or exercise, on an equal footing, of human rights and fundamental freedoms in the political, economic, social, cultural or any other field of public life.
And excluding men, well that one’s a no brainer. The “male tears” bit indicates she’s likely even a misandrist.
This means that the majority of “professors” (white, anglo-saxon males) in any given “university” are oppressors! What hypocrisy, right in the middle of the University! Do they even realize this? Hilarious!

The more attributes you have closer to the center of the web, the more you are characterized as an ‘oppressor’ regardless of what you say and do.
Racism can be practiced by anyone as it is an attitude of how one treats others. Your actual situation and station in life is irrelevant.
