UPDATE: Christian landlord forced to pay “sharia” fine — Rebel viewers help him “get on with his life”

Ezra LevantRebel Commander

Over the last four years, you and I have fought plenty of righteous battles here at The Rebel. Unfortunately, we don't always win these fights. Justice isn't always done.

And perhaps the most dramatic example of this is the case of the Christian landlord who was fined for violating "sharia law" — that is, his Muslim tenants took him to the Human Rights Commission because he allegedly didn't remove his shoes when he entered their unit!

(LEARN MORE at HelpJohn.ca)

The landlord, John, is himself an immigrant to Canada, a hardworking man who'd found peace and success here in his new home — only to be victimized by the so-called "justice" system.

While this case was winding its way through Canada's "kangaroo courts," John's marriage broke out, and tragically, his son committed suicide.

Sadly, John and his legal team lost this outrageous case, and were forced to not only pay the Muslim tenants' legal fees but an award for their "pain and suffering."

Throughout this ordeal, Rebel viewers have given generously, first to pay for John to fight the case and, regrettably, to make him whole again by paying off all his fines.

Now John can get on with his life after two years of non-stop fighting.

Today I dropped off the final cheque, representing the remaining amount of your generous donations, to John's lawyer.

Once again, he expressed John's profound gratitude to all of you. I'm grateful, too.

We wish this story could have had a better conclusion, but this disappointing outcome won't deter us from fighting for justice in the future.

I am so glad that we saw this through. We encouraged John to appeal , so we couldn’t leave him holding the bag. I feel better knowing he is done with this. The outcome however is a disgrace and Our Human Rights courts are unfair, unjust, uncalled for, unwanted and un ‘inclusive’. Clearly there is a leaning towards a certain group and the rest of us be damned.
Good luck John, and I hope Canada treats you better in the future.
Thanks Ezra, for the closure.

I don’t remember the final details of his story, but I trust he evicted these people or sold the property.
Very sad.

Budget 2019 is here!
Doug Ford
11 Apr 2019,
Keith — This is a great day for Ontario! Today our Government released its first budget. The McGuinty-Wynne days of high taxes and endless deficits are officially over. You can read the full budget here. Here are a few highlights I want to share with you: We are introducing the Childcare Access and Relief from Expenses (CARE) tax credit which would provide up to 75% of eligible child care expenses and let parents choose the childcare that works for them.

We are helping lower auto insurance rates by increasing consumer choice.

We are treating adults like adults, by making it easier for you to buy beer and wine.

We are going to take Ontario back to a balanced budget and bring our provincial debt down.

We are going to provide free dental care for low-income seniors. We are going to make sure the world knows Ontario is open for business and open for jobs!

We’ve got a fantastic Finance Minister, Vic Fedeli and an incredible caucus who are working hard to make sure we achieve our goals for the people! We’ve got your back. We will always put the people of Ontario first. All the best,

Doug Ford
