Venezuela tries to insult Trump after his UN speech by comparing him to Ronald Reagan

StaffRebel Columnist

The socialist country of Venezuela can't even buy a good insult.

Fox News reports that Venezuela's foreign minister Jorge Arreaza compared Trump's speech to the UN to Ronald Reagan. He took issue with Trump's suggestion of “restoring” Venezuelan democracy by calling it a “racist and supremacist theory”.

“For a moment, we didn't know if we were listening to President Reagan in 1982 or President Trump in 2017,” Arreaza said.

Trump's speech at the UN took aim at a number of countries including Iran and North Korea. The President called Kim Jong Un “Rocket Man” and threatened to “destroy” the country if it attacked the US or its allies.

In addition, he called out Venezuela and supporters of socialism saying, “The problem in Venezuela is not that socialism has been poorly implemented, but that socialism has been faithfully implemented.”

Good insults come from the imaginative and humorous part of your being. Socialists have neither.
