Veteran campaign watcher says Harper getting better by default

Brian LilleyArchive

With a bevy of polls out this week, I sat down with veteran campaign watcher, Ray Heard, to discuss the significance of the latest trends.

We discuss the latest polls showing conservatives on the up-swing, what's driving it, whether it's significant and whether it will hold

I don’t like the disrespect for our PM from the left. I heard a Liberal ad on the radio today, and they called Harper, the leader of the Conservative party, but no reference to his current PM status. And does anyone think Justin comes across as a petulant child in his ads?

Harper would be doing even better across the country if the disgraceful despicable CBC carried the leaders’ debates. Of course, the CBC execs know that Harper outperforms his opponents Potboy and Angry Tom, and wins every debate, and therefore the disgraceful despicable CBC wants the audience to be as small as possible so as to keep the Canadians public in the dark about this, which is why the disgraceful despicable CBC doesn’t carry the debates.

I think Conservative campaign manager Inger Stojberg has made a big difference in the last three weeks. Experts said the Conservatives could not go above 30% in public suPport, but polls already have them at 32%. Almost one in three Canadians is now considering voting Conservative. Who says foreigners are a bad influence?

Sorry Vlad, but that traffic ranking was a VERY SHORT spike.

The Rebel – 1,023

Macleans – 772

Toronto Star – 59

CBC – 20

Holy shit – look how popular CBC is.

Facts are a wonderful thing.

BRINKMAN; This just shows what a bunch of Dumb Arseoles You and your buddy’s are.

The Star is sneaky though, as all Lefty’s are! They’ll say Harper is leading, just to frighten their base and get them off their asses!!

@ linda cayer – ah, yes – “Here you are free to show your face and feel that good pure Canadian air in your hair.”

Remember if she does this once she will need to wear a complete cover until all the bruises heal – after all it is quite appropriate to beat your wife if you are Islamic – the imam’s say so.

Interesting how few women’s groups complain about this – in fact have there been any complaints about this from all those women’s groups?

Although I disagree with Ray Heard’s political leanings (Liberal), I respect the man’s opinions whether or not they may mesh with my own. Great to see him again on The Rebel!

Bill C51 was talked about in the French debate. This could be it. This election could be or maybe already is about the atrociously bad bill. This may explain why the NDP has gained at the Liberal and CPC expense.

In just two weeks the new Conservative campaign chair, Inger Stojberg, has made a huge difference. Give credit where credit is due. Experts had said there was no way the Conservatives could climb above 30% in the polls, but they are already at 31%.

The Liberals and and NDP have gone overboard with their Guilt trip Politics. There are still a few Patriots in Canada and some of them are actually new Canadians . Not everybody votes for HANDOUTS.. Some people actually vote for what is good for Canada as a Nation. A strong and Proud Nation that does not cater to every whiny dictate from the UN or some absolute Nonsense from the likes of Suzuki and like minded brain-dead celebrities that Justin can hardly wait to associate with. Some people actually feel capable of raising their own Children.

Polls don’t mean anything.

They rank right up there with Twain’s concept of stats: “There are lies, damned lies, and statistics.” Polls are the same. (I lie when answering polling questions, and how many others do? So you can’t trust ’em.)

I agree with Heard. I think you will see a repeat of the “BC Syndrome”…
People will realize at the last minute that a majority Lib/Dipper government would be catastrophic for our economy and prosperity…and the polls will prove meaningless.

A comment on the face covering issue.
Anyone , male or female who volunteers to walk around in a body bag is by definition off their rocker. I mean really. I don’t think such individuals are lucid enough to qualify as voters.
If women are forced to wear this coverings then we must stand up for them and say not in Canada do you ever have to wear one again. Here you are free to show your face and feel that good pure Canadian air in your hair.

Received our voter registration cards in the mail today. I’m got my one and only robo-call (ever) last election, from the Liberals begging me to vote for them, but you won’t hear anything about those going ons at cbc. My own observation, for what it’s worth traveling around western/southern MB, there are a lot of Conservative signs around. Not surprising but it seems to be far more than last election. NDP/Liberal seem to be split, with maybe a slight edge to the NDP. I hope voter turnout is huge, it is badly needed because the “Old stock media” is in panic mode working for their “boy”. I hope Ray is right, as I’d love to see Craig Oliver break down again on TV when the Conservative win is announced.

Well, by my own measurements, which are not an exact science, I put the Liberals in the lead with 35, CPC at 34, and NDP at 33. With 8% unsure. Frankly I’m surprised that Trudeau is doing so well. What is interesting about the latest Leger poll is that balanced budgets are very much a conservative obsession. NDP and Liberals are more apt to run deficits if it “helps” the economy.

Thank you Brian. I’ve printed a few off to give out to any of the door to door canvassers. I tell them I’m busy, but in anticipation of their visit I’ve taken the trouble to print them an information sheet. Give it to them, tell them to feel free to make as many copies as they’d like for sharing around, but not to litter, then wish them a nice day. The look on their faces, so far, has been priceless.

Can’t believe Heard was a Liberal. Was Justin the. Final nail in that coffin?

The liberal media is losing its hold , Donald Trump is proof of that, the liberal media wants to call him racist but no one cares anymore , they realize the truth

Please forgive the temerity of this humble Rebel, but I’d like to suggest to my fellow Rebel soldiers that the following comment be copied (or improved and copied), saved and pasted as a response to any “Heave Steve” remark that they come across on other sites with similar message boards. ( limitations requires it be split into two).

Top Ten Reasons (David Letterman Style) to Heave Steve in 2015:
Number 10: Going back to live in the stone age will be for our own good. David Suzuki and Neil Young said so, therefore it must be true. But just in case it’s not, we still have reason number 9.
Number 9: No more pipelines. It’s common knowledge that the best, safest, most modern, advanced and efficient way to transport oil is to fill tanks with it, mount them on wobbly wagons and trundle them across the country.
Number 8: Certainly no one wants to see an immigrant’s lips moving when they’re reciting the Oath of Citizenship.
Number 7: Our Senate might wither and die, OMG, OMG, OMG. That will leave only the un-elected dilatants of the Supreme Court to thwart the efforts of our democratically elected government. It’s common knowledge that they’re hopeless at that. Best that they focus on the real work of making our laws instead of enforcing our laws.
Number 6: Abolish Bill C-51. We must curtail the freedom that our security organizations utilise to freely exchange information that might infringe on the freedom that our country’s enemies enjoy. After all, freedom is what we’re all about, right?
Number 5: No one in their right mind wants a leader who, it’s rumoured, shares their birthday with Adolph Hitler.
Number 4: It’s vitally important that corrupt union bosses will never be required to show their members where all their money is going.
Number 3: And in any case, because those same corrupt union bosses, who don’t like secret ballots, are simply telling us to heave Steve, that alone is a good enough reason.
Number 2: It’s just downright silliness to be squandering our money and wasting time doing security checks on migrants who come from the most stable and civilized region in the world.
And the Number 1 reason to heave Steve in 2015:
Everyone knows that more jobs, lower taxes and a balanced budget is no way to run a country.

Pollsters still playing spin – 40% of Canadian voters chose Harper in 2011. Very very very unlikely this will change – it should go higher this time around.

The shitstream media are, once again, communist water carrying dogs for the communist pig parties – ndp / liberal.

No wonder it took 6 weeks for The Rebel to catch for internet traffic – Canadians are saturated with communist pig propaganda courtesy the shit steam media – The Rebel is the lone Independent / Conservative voice in Canada.
