The War on Christmas is real (and has nothing to do with Trump)

Martina MarkotaRebel Contributor

One thing about President Trump that I’ve always loved, is how he’s unashamedly proud of our country’s Christian foundations. He’s not afraid to say Merry Christmas, and it’s refreshing to see.

So when the left tells us that the war on Christmas isn’t real, I’m left confused. Why would Trump be fighting back against this war on Christmas, if it wasn’t real? We all know it’s real. We’ve all experienced it. We’ve all seen the comments from the left about how wishing someone a Merry Christmas isn’t inclusive. So why are we pretending the war on Christmas doesn’t exist?

Merry Christmas, everyone!

Mohammad Trudeau thinks Christmas itself is a white “racist” construct

William Kay your comment is ridiculous. And the separation of Church and State was to protect the Church from State imposed religion so religious freedom could exist.

I’d back out of Christmas so damn fast if that part wasn’t considered “child abuse” by the Left.
I could become Jewish and only traumatize my boys by saying their loosing x-mas and their foreskins but that’s not worth ww3.
I don’t know if that’s a wise choice of battles to choose.

Just goes to show how delusional the left is.

“Why didn’t Santa buy me a cell phone?”
“All I got was pj’s?!”
“Yay. More socks.”
“These cookies are too crumbly & ugly”.
All demands, no thanks giving. No thank-yous because you didn’t give people the sun. Then the middle man gov’t of ‘Santa Claus’ makes you believe in an attestation of behaviour based on what he thinks is naughty or nice. Never mind free thought about consequences.
Modern Christmases made Leftists what they are today!
End rant.

I used to love Christmas until I was responsible for it in my house. The money, the decorations, the baking, the crafts…THE MONEY & JUNK DRIVE ME BERSERK.
Besides, I don’t think you should celebrate it unless you believe in the birth of Christ was a holy event.
If I’m an extremist prude, then I’m the same as a leftist. Except they want the greed of Christmas every day from everybody else.
You give them coal like they deserve and they will protest even that what keeps them warm.
Halloween is a proper capitalist holiday. You get out there, you have a job and you get paid for what you earn. Christmas & Easter there is a middle man delivering payment. Nope.
Since politics is my main religion, I just celebrate the birth of Christ and hate the gift giving because I think you should be happy with what you earn yourself.
Only mothers & fathers understand what I’m saying here.

In fact, I do know that for years, Christmas was not celebrated in Scotland. December 25th was just another working day there because Protestant thought Christmas celebration was a Roman Catholic thing. Even to this day, there are fundamentalist Christians who don’t celebrate Christmas with a Santa Claus or Easter with an Easter bunny. They see these celebrations as vestiges of pagan practices. I’m not a big fan of extremists, no matter which religion they originate from.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year, Martina. I decorate my home for Christmas every year, but generally speaking, nowadays in Canada, I don’t initiate any kind of greeting at any holiday to anyone. If someone else initiates a greeting, I respond, but otherwise, it’s like a mine field that I do not venture into. I don’t really know why anyone would object to being wished a Merry Christmas because these days, Christmas can be as religious or as secular as one chooses to celebrate it. For instance, Santa brings presents to all children, not just Christian children. He’s no longer referred to as “Saint” Nicholas. He’s now “Santa Claus”. People can call a Christmas tree a “Holiday” tree if they want to. No one is forced to go to church to celebrate Christ’s birth. People who complain about Christmas are making their own problems.

Kwanze was an invented holiday and not a religious holiday. No more a religious event as Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, Boy Scout Day, et cetera. It was invented in 1966 by an activist UCLA professor. It is also just about the only holiday based upon skin colour/race and not religious or social (inclusive) tradition (ie: Thanksgiving).

“In 1971,(Maulana) Karenga* was sentenced to one to ten years in prison on counts of felonious assault and imprisonment. One of the victims gave testimony of how Karenga and other men tortured her and another woman. The woman described having been stripped and beaten with an electrical cord. Karenga’s estranged wife, Brenda Lorraine Karenga, testified that she sat on the other woman’s stomach while another man forced water into her mouth through a hose.”

*An invented name just as the “holiday” he created. Born Ronald McKinley Everett

For some unknown reason the media treats this as a religious event. On the other hand, “Merry Christmas” is verboten, as are Christmas trees (from a Germanic Druid religious rite), Nativity scenes, holiday decorations, and so on.

If someone says Merry Christmas to me, I respond in kind. If I see someone with a Mogan David around their neck, or a Chai, I say Happy Chanukah. I will say Merry Christmas at this time of the year as it is simply a nice thing to say to most people. If they don’t like it, well, screw them. I also say “Merry Christmas and Happy Chanukah” to people when the holidays coincide by date. If they are Muslim I say Happy Holidays – it bugs them either way and if it doesn’t, all the better.

Monday night I took one of our personal pollution devices (car) and we made CO2 (V6, 270 hp) while driving around looking at all the holiday (Christmas) decorations and lighting. We enjoyed the visual pollution (lights). It was fun, it made us happy, we oohed and awed, didn’t give a damn or have to think about Trudeau and Al Gore and their misguided politics, and we smiled. Isn’t that what this time of the year is all about? Happy? Being nice to people?

If people are so upset about “Christmas”, let them wear a button saying “Grinch” as a warning to all. If they start missing out on the fun they might get rid of the button and join in.

“Unashamedly proud of our country’s Christian foundations…”
If one were to stop the calendar circa 1790 the USA would be incandescent as the MOST SECULAR, LEAST RELIGIOUS country in the world; in fact, in the history of world. Article 6 of the Constitution prohibits religious tests for office. The FIRST amendment separates church from state. This was achieved amidst a world of theocracies where merely mentioning such laws could be fatal. Atheists like Thomas Payne and legions of die-hard secularists were front and centre of the American Revolution. Get with program MM!
