Warning to British Columbia: THIS is your province on NDP

Sheila Gunn ReidRebel Host | The Gunn Show

As an Albertan, I’ve been on the receiving end of out of province meddlers getting involved in Alberta politics more times than I can count. I don’t like it so I normally don't like to tell other people what to do with their vote.

But, BC is playing with fire with the NDP leading in their provincial election so I can’t stand by and say nothing.

I have a message for BC’ers: You do not want the NDP back! They went to Alberta, and for that you should count yourself lucky.

Watch my video to see the astounding divergence of payroll growth between Alberta and BC since Rachel Notley took power.

It’s a tale of two provinces and two ways of tackling economic problems - one successful and one in the ditch.

Don’t get me wrong, I'm not making an argument for Christy Clark and the BC liberals. I have a lot of criticism of her and them.

But I am making an argument, as an Albertan who is living this, that voting for the NDP because you feel like it’s time for a change is like burning down your house because you hate the colour of the walls in the spare bedroom. It’s overkill!

You stand to lose too much, maybe even everything as so many Albertans are finding out.

The NDP destroy every economy they touch. Please BC - do not let them near yours. They did it in Saskatchewan, Ontario, and BC in the 1990s and now Alberta.

You don't want to end up like me, envious of payroll growth in the Atlantic provinces and Kathleen Wynne's Ontario.

Could you provide some facts to go along with these statements?
Is the costing in the NDP platform not accurate?
As an Albertan are you aware of the court decision forcing clark to be nice to school kids? Are you aware of the steady increases to the services in BC?
Have you compared the current bc libs with other lib parties across the Provinces?
Have you sought medical assistance for the delusion you seem to suffer from?

Sheila, you neglected to mention the long lasting damage the recently voted out NDP did to Manitoba. Selenger racked up nearly 1 billion in additional debt, increased PST and taxed all previously PST exemptions, such as home insurance and various food exemptions. Thanks to the NDP’s mismanagement, their “green power scheme”, turned into a nightmare of runaway costs which has guaranteed increased hydro rates for the next 20 years. Not to mention the myriad of new NDP carbon taxes, recycling levies and economic stifling government regulations that have left Manitobans poorer, the Province with a lowered credit rating and little hope of recovery for the foreseeable future.
One thing is certain, B.C.er’s cannot say they were not warned.

Great report Sheila Gunn Reid, I hope voters in BC heed your advice. Like so many others, I too love your T-shirt!

Sheila Gunn Reid the only reason Alberta is in the situation they in is because the conservative governments of the 40+ years prior to Rachel Notley’s NDP win in the last election only worked and promoted one industry, oil and gas. If they had been a little more diverse in their thinking and execution, Alberta wouldn’t be in the situation they are right now. What Rachel Notley inherited was a government and province that so dependent on the dirty tar sands and that industry isn’t controlled provincially or federally, it is controlled globally. So what is going on now in Alberta cant be blamed on the NDP, that problem is the fault of the previous conservative governments.

I understand where Art is coming from. The Liberals are pushing the same-sex agenda, keep apologizing to natives, and have bought into the global warming scheme. But an NDP government is the fast track to a Quebec like experience, where the debt is 49% of GDP.
commented 2017-04-28 14:12:56 -0400
What I have heard of supporters is that Alberta is growing with thousands of renewable energy jobs, and is expected to grow at 2.6% in GDP next year.

Spot on! Good advice Sheila.

Dave said, “The Christy Clark Government is equal to the Brad Wall Government”

Only in the sense that the BC Liberals are an amalgam of members once from all three parties, but Brad Wall’s party is further right leaning than Christy Clark’s government.

CPC LEANING TRUE BLUE CONSERVATIVES have been in a Coalition with the Libs to keep the Ndp out……and the BC Libs aren’t the same as they were – CPC LEANING TRUE BLUE CONSERVATIVES are gaining influence over that Party…….❤️

We’re still dealing with the destruction of BC that the Ndp did in the ’90’s and Alberta HOPEFULLY won’t have those problems when they boot them in 2019…..❤️

Back when the Manitoba NDP were headed by Gary Doer, nothing horrible happened.

Bill said, “Lotus landers are used to Dipper graft”

?? Excuse me Bill for being daft, but that sentence did not make sense to me. It must be getting late.

I wish I had never heard of the NDP.
Anyone watching your video Sheila & who was wrestling about who to vote for, should not have that problem anymore if they paid attention.

Conservative voters really need to learn how to vote strategically.

If you know the Conservatives could not win but want to make sure the NDP never see the light of day, then vote for the most likely party to win, such as the Liberals. At least then your vote counts for something.

Vote for Christie, because if the NDP get a hold of BC, the west has no hope at all. They have ground Alberta’s economy into the ground, and they’re still not finished yet. Now they will steal all the money from our heritage fund to finish us off, and keep us in the poor house for decades, with their green schemes, and taxes. All I can say is that I didn’t vote for these contemptuous crooks! But those that did will be paying for it long after I’m dead and gone. I’m glad that I’m old. Hold your nose and vote for Christie!
commented 2017-04-27 20:15:25 -0400
So Art, you are willing to pay the price of an NDP government because true conservatives in BC, as you call them, could not be bothered to create a true Conservative party? Hence by refusing to vote for a party with general conservative, you are willing to cut off the nose you don’t want to hold.

There was an example of that conservative thinking in Canada previously. I think it was May 5, 2015. I think it was in Alberta. I think those conservatives are now unemployed or under employed.

I guess the good news for Alberta is if conservatives in BC let the NDP into power through the backdoor, like they did in Alberta, all the NDP mercenaries from BC, like Bermann, will return to BC, or better yet, Ministers and MLA’s from BC which will open up by-elections.
commented 2017-04-27 20:07:48 -0400
I’m sorry Art but by staying home, you make a choice and you are voting for whoever leads the polls.
commented 2017-04-27 19:54:09 -0400
Christy Clark thinks wooing the lefty losers will save her campaign. Uh, no, Christy, us conservatives now refuse to hold our nose and vote for you because you are less of a lunatic than your opponent. So we are staying home. And THAT is what is going to cost you. Give us something, anything, or you’re toast. But I know, you and your advisers think thanks to Trump, we are poison. But like Trump himself, turn your back on us at your own peril. And leftists WILL NOT vote for you, no matter what, hammer and sickle.

But Parkin in the Toronto Sun says the NDP are just doing great. His examples of note was that Notley created 20 000 jobs, so Albertans are recognizing her economic acumen. Then in BC that the NDP are taking on Trump head to head.

Mind you, he neglected to mention 250 000 job losses in Alberta over the past two years, nor the destruction of the BC forestry industry in the 1990’s which has not fully recovered. I wonder why he did not?

I agree with Billy Howard, Sheila, a detailed correlation between the BC and Alberta NDP would be of great value.

The deadly drug NDP , will cause B C to develop, economic anorexia
This NDP drug is more potent then the NDP drug that bc overdosed on in the 90s
This drug will shut down all the vital arteries of British Columbia, and will lead to massive seizures by banks and other lenders
Then bc will be up on the auction block to foreigners

Please Sheila, do a report on the connections between the BC and Alberta NDP so the folks here can see that the destroyers are the same. Horgan is claiming his BCNDP has basically nothing to do with the Alberta NDP.
Help us Sheila, PLEASE!
