Two goalies, two Presidents: Snubbed White House visits bring out media cheerleader hypocrisy

David MenziesMission Specialist

Trump Derangement Syndrome is alive and well in the National Hockey League, as Washington Capitals’ goalie Braden Holtby decided not to join his fellow Stanley Cup winning teammates for the traditional White House visit.

Holtby declared, “I’ve got to stay true to my values” though he declined to fully elaborate on what those values might be.

It’s not exactly newsworthy to hear about athletes declining to meet President Trump, but it’s quite something to see how the media act as hypocritical cheerleaders in covering such stories.

For example, look back seven years to see how media jock-sniffers covered an identical snub, albeit one involving a different goalie and a different President.

This is a grotesque double standard and hypocrisy to the nth degree.

It’s also why millions of people are continuing to tune-out the mainstream media.

Could it be that Holtby didn’t want to meet the President of the United States that had just signed a proclamation recognizing Israel’s authority over the Golan Heights? Or the President that had the guts to move the American Embassy to Jerusalem? Or the President that really has the North Koreans off their usual blackmail game with rockets and nukes?
No modern President has faced more figurative pucks shot at him by the Democrats and media than Trump, the goaltender President.
You should have sucked it up and been a team player and left politics out of sports.

I haven’t watched hockey since they expanded from six teams in the league…so I don’t know this goalie, or the game.
I personally can’t be too hard on this guy for not wanting to visit POTUS Donald Trump at the White House with his team – whatever his reasons – because I sure wouldn’t have gone to the Obumbler White House for a ‘friendly visit’, at least not without saying something to the f******g goof…and I wouldn’t trust myself to even be in the same room as that feckless traitor we have stinkin’ up the PMO here in what was once Canada…
Double standards – like hypocrisy – are pretty much all on the lefty liberal Fake News Media Party paid whores and all the useful-idiot lefty liberal drones that gleefully lap up all the propaganda and other BS, without question or filter!
Nuke the left.

It is his choice, but David is correct about when Thomas refused to go meet Obama , the media was all aghast like the hypocrites they are.

DANG, I like Braden Holtby because he’s a local boy, well pretty local, from Lloydminster Sask. (I’m from Alberta). Fact is, he’s a really good goalie. That’s for sure. Render to sports what belongs sports and to God what belongs to God. I think that’s in scripture somewhere?

Ultimately, I don’t look to sports stars or Hollywood actors for political advice or common sense.

I go to the REBEL media… ha ha
