(WATCH) Candice Malcolm: Canada is losing control on immigration

Rebel Staff

Justin Trudeau's Liberal government has rolled out the red carpet for migrants illegally crossing into Canada. The government holds their hand and treats them like they’re staying at an all-inclusive resort.

Through its actions and its programs, the Trudeau government is encouraging migrants to break our laws and jump the immigration queue.

In regard to the headline…..

Ron, I agree with your sentiments as well – and it would be great if more people took time to write to those who are in a position to make a difference on these important issues.

Stephen – you are absolutely right. Nothing about this situation makes any sense at all, and it is also not fair to taxpayers, who must pay for all these people.

Judy, those are some great ideas! I am all for a mature 22nd century immigration policy with checks and balances for Canada and Canadians.

“Canada is now a completely settled country and does not need any more people…”
Completely agree. We need people who love Canada, especially the people who are already here.

If you come illegally via the US, there should be no question of you being immediately returned to the US, Same for any European nation and Australia/New Zealand. If you come claiming to be a refugee via the US, a European nation or Australia/New Zealand you should apply at those nations for refugee status – once you enter a safe nation you can’t claim refugee status to a third nation.

What is this silly business of immediately extended all the rights and privileges of a citizen to those illegally present in our country? Are we the world’s welfare state when we can’t even help our own to the level we are generous to strangers who have no respect for our laws?

How about this? Let Dumber Than A Rock Trudeau sell his antique Mercedes for the $1.5 million its worth and donate that money to the “refugees”. Then, since he is a trust fund baby and really doesn’t need the money, give his PM’s pay to the “refugees”. Lets see the bumbling fool come up with explanations why he shouldn’t do this while saddling the rest of us with his virtue signalling.

I have read that in the early 1960’s, before the Pierre Trudeau government, the majority of immigrants (95 or 97%) were British. Settling into English Canada, they didn’t need to assimilate because they were surrounded by others of British or European heritage. This society was homogenous and peaceful (and not overcrowded!). French Canada was also a culturally homogenous and peaceful society, with its’ own geographic area.

I agree that migrants who commit serious crimes should be deported and stripped of their citizenship. I’m not sure if this was the case before the current government – that would be interesting to check into….

Over 40,000 illegal migrants from the States? Don’t tell Willam Kay that. He says it is around 17,000ish.

Before the Pearson/Trudeau Communist Cabal destroyed our country, we had a sane immigration policy in Canada.
We targeted certain countries, we brought in limited batches and gave those groups time to assimilate Canadian culture before the next, carefully chosen batch was brought in!
We should go back to that sanity…and no, that is not regressive!

…and then we need to do something with all those insane lefty progressives who’re wreckin’ the place!!

Finland’s Interior Minister says that migrants who are guilty of serious crimes should have their citizenship removed.
Isn’t that the way it was in Canada before Ahmed Hussen, Goodale and their globalist bosses? In Canada our PM not only reduces penalties for migrant crime, but also brings in ISIS butchers to walk our streets. Yea, Justin’s immigration policy is out of control and our children will have inferior lives because of it.

Judy, I have to agree with you. At least until some balance is regained. Then maybe we could welcome some very carefully selected to join us in continuing the freedoms and values that foundational Canadians hold dear. This ‘huge’ country has its infrastructure on the southern border and for good reason. We cannot and do not want to accommodate millions of people from anywhere, let alone cultures not all that fond of us, who don’t share our values and would rather take than contribute.
Canada first
Allies second
global government NEVER

Ron Shea, I also wrote to Mr. Bernier about his immigration platform, but my thoughts were slightly different. I pointed out that Canada is now a completely settled country and does not need any more people, and due to mass immigration the infrastructure of larger cities is failing. I suggested that he needs to get in touch with the sentiment of Canadians (ie. those born in Canada). There has never been a referendum on this, and many Canadians do not want ANY more immigration at all, as evidenced by comments in news articles all across the country. Canada’s habitable area is only along the southern border, so it is not logical to suggest that Canada is a large country that can accommodate unlimited numbers of people. I also suggested that in the case of needed job skills, foreigners could be granted work permits of 3 years, renewable for another term if necessary – where there is no Canadian to fill the position – but that we do not need to bring people in from other countries and allow them to settle permanently. (Bermuda operates this way; they’ve had a moratorium on new citizenship since the 1970’s, and companies must first prove there is no Bermudian with the required skills before a foreigner can be hired on a contract. The foreigner is also expected to transfer knowledge to their Bermudian colleagues.)

Any other reasons for allowing immigration are questionable and have not been agreed with voters.

This will cost the Liberals Quebec in the next election, vote split or not. The pure laine Quebecois will revolt. Quebecers are the strongest nationalists in Canada, the globalist Soros/UN agenda will not sell. Just sayin.

Immigration in Canada is out of control. Our country used to be the gold standard for countries people wanted to move to and it needs to go back to the way it used to be. People who move here should want to be uniquely Canadian, consider their native culture secondary to Canadian citizenship, and adopt our laws. It should be difficult to become a Canadian citizen while leaving a compassionate hand open for legitimate refugees. Presently, we have tens of thousands of people in our country we cannot even take care of which is driving up our debt by millions everyday, and many of those refuse to accept a hand up; they refuse to learn one of our official languages, gain an education or find a job to wean themselves off of social assistance because Trudeau has made it so easy with social assistance handouts, that it has quashed any incentive for refugees or immigrants to go out and work.

The present system is badly broken. It needs a reboot.

Max Bernier is the only Federal leader who plans to reduce immigration levels. I wrote him and asked him not to reduce immigration, but to put all immigration completely on hold until we as Canadians know, how many are coming here, who is coming here and where they are coming from.

Canadians should have the final say on immigration. Not globalists pretending to be Canadians.
