The lone Green Party MP in Parliament has made her most mental proposal yet – she’s suggesting that Parliament should seriously consider a meat tax.
Now, I could do a video railing against veganism and making tired old talking points about vegetarianism. But that’s boring. Instead, I want to focus on a few inconsistencies. Namely, the fact that veganism isn’t good for the environment.
I also think we should think about how taxing meat can result in poor families starving. That’s no exaggeration – if we take away cheap sources of food for families already struggling, we’ll see more people relying on food banks… or starving.
