WATCH: In six seconds, Notley pronounces the end of the "Alberta advantage"

Ezra LevantRebel Commander

Alberta NDP Premier Rachel Notley just gave a speech vowing that her government "will maintain one of the most competitive tax systems in Canada."

Hang on: "One of the most..."?

Alberta used to be famous for having the most competitive tax systems, one that featured no provincial sales tax and a low flat income tax.

Yet in six seconds, Notley more or less declared that famous "Alberta advantage" to be over.

All this was laid out in the NDP's platform during the campaign. Too bad nobody read it...

Alberta’s NDP is using a fake "public survey" to push climate change policy.

We already have too many of these low education primitive types most of whom are not really from Syria. We already have problems with crime prone scum who mostly refuse to assimilate and who despise our culture customs and values. The Liberals and NDP want to create immigrant ghettos who vote for their party no matter what.

Vlad, you are so true. I am a very proud Albertan and the circles I run in are talking the same way. We are starting to hear people say if I get sick I will help Albertans, some are saying screw the sickness I am with out a job and prison is starting to look good. I mean I have never heard this type of talk for any other leader in this province. I really believe that Rachel has got to start worring. Because I am starting to worry for her.

Truly Vlad ! With out a doubt, no question, indisputably, most (real) Albertans want to puke when she speaks. She is saying fck you to millions of people and giving them the finger.
Those pathetic losers, Prentice and Smith better stay in hiding, because they were the reason this happened in the first place, and will always be reviled here.
Vermin all of them.

BRAVO ZULU; I think she is a Tranni, she would probably look like Tommy Dullcare. Sick Eh.

reading between the lines or in this case the actual words are a precursor to actual actions. If you are living in AB, I think it would make sense to start up a solar panel, wind turbine, parts company but then again the way the NDP works the contracts will go to their buddies in other provinces….

Mark York said, “… and I would rather have a Liberal government than a wacko NDP government. The lesser of two evils by a country mile.”

In principle I agree with you, but not while Justin is leading the party. At the moment the Liberal party is trying desperately to “out left” the NDP. If the Liberal party was as it was in earlier years (though I still would not vote for them), then I agree.

These current Liberals are just as wacko as the NDP.

You can see how notley is aggressively turning Alberta into her little communist empire. notley and her communist word smithing is part of that tide of “economical suicide” socialist/liberal pigs that will wreck Canada for decades.

I can only imagine the anger in Alberta – one day, someone is going to blow notley’s fucking head off.

Canadians knocking NDP administrations seem to keep forgetting that Darrell Dexter’s NDP in Nova Scotia were also a one term disaster from 2009 to 2013… Not only were they reduced to seven seats, but Dexter himself was defeated in his own riding… Hey folks; that’s Atlantic Canada speaking, where NDP welfare schemes should be golden!… “Intelligent people learn from their mistakes” my father used to say… Albertans are learning the hard way what electing Notley, in a fit of pique, is going to cost them in the coming years… We can only hope that enough intelligent people remember that lesson come October the 19th…

As much as I think JT is a joke of a PM candidate Notley is why there needs to be a strong Liberal party federally. People will always eventually want a change in government and I would rather have a Liberal government than a wacko NDP government. The lesser of two evils by a country mile.

Doug Brinkman you speak of freedom , where were you when Ezra gets persecuted for running a free press? And sorry your radical Islamic buddies will not allow freedom, we gained more under Harper and will lose more if you left wing fools get in

Lefty Speak I call it. The left, right from it’s earliest inception has had, at it’s core, misleading ways of saying things. “Relativism” is at the core of Socialism. It’s “lie-dependent”, compared to it’s opposite – democracy – which is “truth-dependent”. This clip is an excellent example of it. I think someone needs to put together a book of Lefty-speak examples. Obama stating he’ll “fundamentally change America”. They do this ALL the time!! And our kids need to be taught how to watch for it, and the only way to do that is to have a Book of Lefty-Speak, filled with examples, so’s kids learn to be better listeners and it would cause them to ask more questions!! Hey hey wait a second – back up – what did you just say? What EXACTLY does that mean sir/mame???

I wonder if those that voted for the NDP as a protest vote against Prentice’s proposed tax increases will comprehend that Notley is doing exactly the same … or even more increases.

Not surprisingly, Notley chose a sleazy, slimy, fundamentally dishonest way to announce that she is raising taxes in Alberta. She couldn’t just tell the people honestly that she is raising taxes and driving business and jobs out of Alberta. No, she has to sleaze and slime and backdoor it as being lower taxes than the worst tax jurisdictions in the country. What a sicko.

No economy has ever survived an NDP government, and Alberta will be no different.

Rachel, you should work WITH the Alberta Advantage! You should be giving scaled tax incentives to industry for reduced emissions, increased efficiency, reforestation, land reclamation, water treatment, etc. THAT is the win-win, NOT copying an already failing Green Focused path to ruin, like Germany, who is now going back to Fossil Fuels after all-in renewable failures! We need ALL forms of Energy and Rachel needs to support the Alberta Advantage we have!
commented 2015-09-24 19:50:26 -0400
Albertans, stand up for Alberta and stand up against the AB NDP’s current path of ruin for Alberta! Read, Sign, Share… let’s get traction on this for the AB NDP to respect the desire of 85% of Albertans to have a STRONG and GROWING oil sands! If Rachel Notley does not represent Alberta, who does she represent???

She makes me ill, but you voted her in to destroy your house so live with it. I came to Alberta from Van. In 1976after watching Ndp do to BC what that brain dead lying fraud is doing to Alberta. Am retired now, but am trying to convince the rest of my kids to move to Sask . The last bastion of sane government left in Canada.
commented 2015-09-24 19:10:50 -0400
She’s only handing the next election to the Wildrose. Let her keep talking!

And the NDP will cease to exist after the next election! Albertans will see to that! (And Prentice thought HE got trounced…!)

Rachel you have got to leave.
