WATCH: Jason Kenney on Trudeau's "unfair equalization deal for Alberta"

Rebel Staff

As Sheila Gunn Reid has reported: "In a sneaky move, the Federal government just renewed the flawed Equalization program behind the backs of the provinces who foot the bill for the program that sucks money out of Alberta, Saskatchewan, BC and a couple of others and redistributes it to the east."

The leader of Alberta's United Conservative Party, Jason Kenney, was quick to react, saying that the prime minister had "pulled a fast one on Alberta."

Kenney had more to say in a later video:

No pipe line allowed to Quebec or any of the East because it would take billions from OPEC and give it to the Canadian people. It would also put those tankers of uncle Pauls out of business.
Enough money for all Canadians, if only we could use our own oil and sell it.

Most Canadians today are “Takers” . . . . which is why we elect people like incompetent Justin and his gaggle of loons. There has never been a time when the Maritimes and Keybec supported themselves, perennial trough dwellers. As we continue to import more 3rd world “Takers” into the country and our children are indoctrinated at “stupid” school . . . the opposition leader appears like Trudope Light . . . I suspect the future will be dim as too few Canadians actually are aboard the Reality Train !

The irony here is that the programme that basically bribes Quebec to stay in Confederation may well end up being the instrument of Confederation’s demise. With the “Not Withstanding” A-bomb in Quebec’s arsenal, there is zero chance of changing this constitutionally mandated programme. And with the votes that decide which party is going to rule the country up for grabs in each election there seems little chance than any party will do anything to rock the ‘bateau’. Maybe separatism for Ontario needs to be thrown onto the camp fire, to see which way the smoke blows?

The western provinces being one big province would not make a difference, as it is population that makes the difference. Besides, Manitoba used to be a tiny little province. If the east wanted to keep the western provinces small, then why did Manitoba get bigger in area?

Sask and Alberta. I’m in the interior of BC, but I will move back if Sask and Alberta give Ottawa the boot. If the interior of BC could cut off lotus land, and leave it to drop off into the ocean alone, I would love for my part of BC to join in.
The Republic of Western Canada.

From all out family moves, and over the years, our six years in Digby Neck, Nova Scotia were a delight in meeting some wonderful friends and neighbours, and a strong dose of reality in how Eastern Canada is bought for and paid for by Liberal dollars from Ottawa… The Maritimes are “sick” economies and have been so for decades… Outside of Dartmouth/Halifax, Nova Scotia is “screwed” unless you inherited daddy’s lobster boat and license…

Also anyone in Quebec who votes Liberal federally is an imbecile, since Socks Clown is taking the whole country down. What a catastrophe for all of Canada that Socks Clown is PM when Trump is POTUS.

Socks Clown made it clear years ago in a radio interview in Quebec that he despises Alberta and for that matter all of Canada outside of Quebec. Anyone outside of Quebec who votes Liberal is an imbecile.

Let the Eastern Bastards freeze and starve in the dark.

The western provinces were created small so that they could be dominated by the East. It was so before 1905 and certainly ever since. When something doesn’t make sense, you need to stop it.

Secession is the only genuine solution for Alberta.

Kenny said he’s going to have a referendum on equalization. I can hear Trudeau laughing from here. Put the Alberta independence question on every provincial election ballot. Fifteen to twenty years ago we warned about this, and not enough would listen.

Trudeau has been implementing his basic dictatorship… those that worship the bong are not worried!

wow, thank you Carole from Quebec. someone who can see the total unfairness of equalization in this country. most of you think we are a bunch of yahoos that complain over being fleeced year after year. well my dear we are not, just sick and tried of the concept. pull your own weight and a little help you will get, but gouching us year after year will not do, just so you can spend money on as many stupid, communistic, dumb ass things that we see out here that you do.

thanks muta. we start over with a bill l of rights and freedoms that actually include the western provinces. how nice but will never happen with the scum from the east. rob us blind and have the gall to come and say we are so happy to have you in their country. barf bag available someone.

It’s Daddy Trudeau’s Constitution and Charter which is one great reason to reject the entire concept and start over.

Off topic: A mail order company in Ontario is selling a talking figurine of Jihadi Justin, both english and french apparently. I almost puked. Suppose though it would save someone from having to construct a VooDoo doll!

The Eeast always has ripped off the West. Canada never did work as a federation. We need to have separate competing factions. Divide Canada in half, Eastern Canada verses Western Canada, then you will see some realistic governance when the East realizes there is no free lunch and their policies have to work or else.
The populace vote and financial elites have always been dominated by the East who elect over 95 percent of the prime ministers. Confederation was conceived as a rigged system by the oligarchs who devised it. Time for Western Canada to play the game Quebec has been playing all these years. Who does Trudeau represent? Answer…..Quebec, so that explains why they get 80 percent of the unequalization payments.
commented 2018-06-23 13:34:23 -0400
I’m in Qc and I totally agree that this is wrong. The Equalization program is unfair to the West and encourages big and lazy leftist gov’ts in the East. The whole country loses.

Well expressed explanation of the unfairness. Although Kenney throws The Rebel under the bus, The Rebel does not throw Kenney under the bus.
