Rebel Staff

When The Rebel discovered this video by Canadian writer and cartoonist J.J. McCullough we knew our viewers would love to see it:

On election day, McCullough goes to vote then watches as the results come in.

After that, McCullough explains why he thinks Canadians voted for Justin Trudeau's Liberals, and compares him to President Obama.

I concur. The end of the gun registry. Pushing the CRTC to allow more freedom in TV viewing. And the end of the Bolshevist Section 13 of the Human Rights code. Allowing parents to decide how to spend their daycare money.

Paul Neruda – you are betting on the wrong shiny pony to win. You will be lucky to keep a job, and if you get a job, you will be paying most of it in taxes, to you the great pretender, junior Trudeau. Enjoy watching as all of your rights and freedoms are stripped away, and watch as Canada falls to the UN’s Agenda 21.

I learned to live with the Harper government. My wish was for open and accountable government. That did not happened. Well time to give the Liberals a try.

We should remember that more than 31% of the electorate voted Conservative. That is no small feat for a party who was thought by experts to have a maximum potential support of 30% when the election was called. The Conservatives actually gained a few seats in Quebec.

Trudeau is like Obama in that he is charismatic and people have great hopes for him.
The U.S. system is quite different, though, in how much change the President can bring. Our Prime Minister leads the party that as the greatest legislative weight, and so can effect change rather rapidly.

Drew, did you have a comment to make?
commented 2015-10-29 02:17:33 -0400
Mark i may add the OKA crisis, when Chretin wanted to steal native land for him and his buddies to build a golf course. OH the liberal media left that part out?
commented 2015-10-29 02:09:14 -0400
Mark how about the liberal HRC thought police, the gun registry , the pathetic justice system we have, the influx of war criminals ,residential schools, that was all the libs and Justin will sell us out to Sharia law. His dad was a commy puke and can rot for all i care.
commented 2015-10-29 02:07:25 -0400
Mark how did our access to media go down?? You mean when Justin would go “UHHHH UHHH UHHH” or when he would hide in mosques?
commented 2015-10-29 02:05:59 -0400
Mark the charter of criminal rights means little , the left ignores it all the time as do the courts. And he left out property rights for a reason. We had rights long before PETs little ass wipe document
commented 2015-10-29 02:04:42 -0400
Mark access to info was not curtailed you moron, except by CBC maybe and he got rid of the HRC censorship BS , the CWB dictatorship. Sorry but we deal in real things here , not Liberal bs

Mark please tell me what the libs ever did to lower emissions other than talk and BS
commented 2015-10-29 02:01:03 -0400
Mark sorry but new tech and good regulations was why our carbon went down. the left wing tax scheme has never lowered emissions by any stretch of the imagination. SOrry to prove you wrong once again.
http://www.cbc.ca/news2/interactives/canada-deficit/ i even used CBC as source , so go cry like a baby.

Wonder if the trolls will be still gloating 4 years from now?

The economy will tank, more manufacturing jobs will leave Canada, mortgage rates will climb through the roof and they’ll be up on their soap boxes griping and whining it’s all Harper’s fault naturally. In Ontario it’s still Harris’s fault after how many years of Liberal rule. Liberals will never take responsibility for anything , much easier to point the finger at a conservative than blame the Liberal they put on a pedestal.
commented 2015-10-28 21:18:55 -0400
Hey Mark David Johnson. ‘60.53% of the electorate did NOT vote for Trudeau’.

Mark David Johnson,
That is called Disinformation, Mark. You and your left wing friends know all about it, this is basically how the Liberals were elected.

Re a different Post, Know one will ever call Justin Trudeau the ‘Best Prime Minister Ever’ Not even the Liberals.
commented 2015-10-28 19:02:27 -0400
Mark, bud, which charter do you mean? The Magna Carta, which was the start of rights and freedoms for the common Homo sapien, or the Trudeau Carta, which was the start of ending rights and freedoms for the common Canadian Homo sapien.

Answering your question, assuming you are serious of course:

Accountability for Unions, including secret ballot. Hmmm, sounds democratic. To be repealed by the Liberals. Hmmm, sounds undemocratic.

Accountability for Indian governments…ie…where the hell is the money going if not to the common First Nation resident? Pretty good democracy…but to be repealed by…you guessed it… the Liberals.

Sorry Mark, Liberals love their cronies, and only their cronies. They will remove the freedoms that we had gained. Doesn’t do for the common rabble to think they have rights don’t you know.
commented 2015-10-28 18:23:02 -0400
Deborah, how was Harper the best PM that Canada ever had. Can you please name something he did that was better than say the charter?
commented 2015-10-28 18:22:04 -0400
Also, Drew, can you tell me how we had MORE freedom under Harper? Please name one thing we have more freedom on.
Our access to information was curtailed (response times went through the roof and had more information redacted than previous governments).
Access to media was significantly reduced with most comments “no comment” and questions were pre-screened (first government in Canadian history to pre-screen questions while sitting).

And while yes, our tax burden went down (mine significantly) it was stupid fiscal policy at the time. You can’t cut revenue to pay down your debt.
commented 2015-10-28 18:17:38 -0400
Harper was the best PM that Canada has ever had, hands down! Now we have “little boy lost” who will drive a stake into Canada’s heart! Assisted by Winnie, Notley and all the other communists, that haven’t got a clue about the economy, but they know what’s best for us, right???
commented 2015-10-28 18:17:20 -0400
Drew, emissions went down in Canada due to the recession, it was directly correlated to losses in GDP
It’s not deceptive cherry picking of stats. Drew deceptive cherry picking of stats is when you do things like claim “debt decreased under Harper in his first few years in office” which is an inheritance of the previous government. You guys are funny. You call me cherry picking but you point to data that was due to previous governments for how the Conservatives fiscal situation wasn’t absolutely terrible.
commented 2015-10-28 18:16:57 -0400
Jason they are out there, the decent ones do not troll though, so they are never here to discuss things properly. I try to bring another side to liberal media sites , and my comments get taken down usually.
commented 2015-10-28 18:10:44 -0400
Too bad Mark had to clutter up the thread with nonsense. I wouldn’t mind a decent conversation with the left, but it never happens
commented 2015-10-28 18:08:13 -0400
No just deceptive cherry picking of statistics, which also gave us the false narrative on global warming.
