WATCH: Knife-wielding man in Optimus Prime mask tries to rob Starbucks, gets smacked with chair by customer

StaffRebel Columnist

A robber wearing an Optimus Prime mask tried to hold up a Starbucks in Fresno, but got stopped by a chair to the back of the head by a 58-year-old customer.

This resulted in a fight between the two, where the customer, Cregg Jerri, got stabbed in the neck. But despite his injuries, he managed to wrestle the knife away from the would-be robber and stab him multiple times.

The robber, Ryan Michael Flores, managed to flee, but was captured and arrested by police.

“There’s probably not very many people in America that would do what Cregg Jerri did last night. That was incredibly heroic and it is the way most people would think that they would respond but may not have the courage to respond,” Chief Jerry Dyer of the Fresno Police Department said.

“It’s not something we recommend; in this case it was a good outcome. No one died as a result of this incident, but very well could have,” he added.

Right you are, Ron. It is our patriotic duty to make the crime easier for the police to figure out. If the perpetrator is lying flat out instead of the intended victim it is oh so hard for the cops to figure it out. It really does play hob with their minds. So do your duty and die like good sheeple ought to.

The Hero sure didn’t receive much help . Even if the Starbucks employee was a girl, she could have thrown a hot coffee in the robbers face.
In Trudeau’s Canada the good guy would be arrested for swinging a weapon in a public place.

The customer’s Chuck Norris response makes him a hero in my book. I’m glad he’s okay, Starbucks should do something special for this man and his family.
Watch the video again to see how the force of the chair knocks the robber’s helmet off.
