WATCH: Notley NDP lie about what led to disastrous mishandling of water bomber contracts

Sheila Gunn ReidRebel Host | The Gunn Show

The NDP don't want you to believe what you can see with your own eyes about my investigation into the disastrous handling of the water bomber contracts last spring.

Rachel Notley, in her spring budget, cut the budget for wildfire fighting. Since the spring fire season was well underway, this left bureaucrats in Agriculture and Forestry scrambling.

The reckless cuts to the fire suppression budget caused the bureaucrats to try to rewrite contracts for fewer wildfire fighting days to 93 days down from 123, caused the casual water bomber contracts to not be posted at all and eventually resulted in such confusion within the ministry that they had to cancel all the water bomber contracts on April 22.

The contracts were then re-tendered ten days later, May 2, the day after the Fort Mac Fire was first spotted.

Now that this has been uncovered, NDP are lying about it, right in the legislature!

Watch my video to see what year Minister of Municipal Affairs, Danielle Larivee, thinks the cancelled water bomber contracts were for, and then see the emails that prove her wrong.

The NDP think Albertans are dumb enough to believe their dishonest excuses rather than our own eyes and the words of the government bureaucrats.

If the NDP will try to mislead us about the biggest news story in Alberta over the last year, they will mislead us about anything.

Aside from Brad Wall in Saskatchewan, there needs to be a culling of each and every politician in Canada from municipal, to provincial and most definitely federal.

Minister Larivee is not confused. Its called “lying”.

Minister Larivee is not confused at all, she’s dumb & a liar to boot. She’s also quite arrogant in her tone as she pretends to be happy about the question she was asked, which she is not because she has no clue of what’s going on in her department.
Cutting water bombing contracts just before the onset of forest fire season is almost criminal. Perhaps cutting out the free automobiles or cutting down on all the other MLA’s perks & freebies would be a smarter way to go for this NDP’s disastrous gov’t.

What I find offensive is their absolute contempt for the people, or should I say, some people. When an activist government, chooses to intentionally destroy the structures of society which had been working fine for the people, then it’s obvious that their agenda will be shoved through, at whatever cost, and the people be damned. There is a reason that populist leaders like Ralph Klein were loved by the people, even though there were disagreements about policies. First and foremost he always listened to the people and always tried to do what was right for them. I admired his straight shooting style, and he did what he set out to do, balance the budget. Ralph said, that “his day just wasn’t complete, if he didn’t have 2 or 3 groups protesting something!”

What I despised the most about politicos and above all the socialists is they never acknowledge a mistake, always right even if they are totally wrong, compulsive liars.

Ron Voss… In all fairness there is no “official opposition”… If you remember the NDP have a majority government

I am shocked by this report but not surprised by stupidity of the NDP. Keep up the great work Sheila. The MSM is useless.

The official ‘opposition’ should be dogging the NDP about this day in and day out. Hello are you there?
commented 2016-11-05 17:34:53 -0400
very simple. If an NDP politicians lips are moving THEY ARE LYING

terry ,the same reason our useless opposition is letting turdo destroy Canada with barely a whimper .
commented 2016-11-05 12:50:59 -0400
Again I ask…..why is it The Rebel are digging this stuff up and not the official opposition?
commented 2016-11-05 11:34:17 -0400
A reconing is going to happen, but perhaps Sheila could at this point follow up on what remediation of this huge mistake has been done for fire season next summer…..granted there just isn’t nearly as much Alberta available to burn next summer.

CANADIAN MONGREL said, “Larivee is not ignorant or stupid in her responses.” No, she just assumed that no Lugenpresser would ever check up her lies. Too bad she had dismissed the threat of The Rebel with a Gunn. Keep their feet to the fire, Shiela.
commented 2016-11-05 09:21:13 -0400
The sad fact is that, with the assistance of their media collaborators, the Non-Democratic Party will be able to revise the history regarding the MacMurray fire. Larivee is not ignorant or stupid in her responses, but they are planned in laying the ground-work for the ultimate revision where, shovel and axe in hand, Notley single handed saved 60% of MacMurray. If not quite that, how Notley’s leadership in climate change prevented other catastrophic fires in Alberta for 2016 because the weather became wet and cool starting in mid-May just at the threat of the carbon tax. Notley’s leadership in the face of the fires will be even cited in her Order of Canada nomination the day after she is premier.

Point being, this is the first move in revising the history of the fire despite the facts, published by Ms. Gunn-Reid for all to read for free. The fire would make a great second book by the way.

JAN G, “What did the Wildrose have to say about her response? Didn’t they challenge her?” Good question. If lying, she should be held for contempt of the legislature.
commented 2016-11-05 00:54:24 -0400
This is why The Rebel is not “real” journalism. No digging, no evidence, no facts, no “speaking truth to power”. Just conservative whining.

Drew, you can’t have too much resigning when it comes to the NDP.
commented 2016-11-04 22:58:22 -0400
@kelvin Grabowsky….“believing their own bullshit”….They’ve got “Hillaryitis”

They seem like a bunch of giddy high schoolers with their noses just above the water, and it is low tide. In other words, they are in over their heads. And we pay.

SHEILA , it’s like you’re in the ring , you’ve knocked them out twice , but still the LUGENPRESSE won’t declare you the winner

Larivee - liar liar pants on fire bigger than a FORT MAC FIRE
Their just children , that’s why the nursery rhymes

Maybe someone could tell minister Larivee how to wear a poppy. Ignorant people put it on thier sleeve.
What a POS!
commented 2016-11-04 21:02:59 -0400
She went as a witch for one day, Drew, and she parades around as a bitch the rest of the time.

The NDP are consummate politicians, they have bullshitting down to a science. So much so that they believe it themselves.
commented 2016-11-04 19:55:47 -0400
Notley dressed as a Witch for Halloween, oh wait a second that is everyday.
commented 2016-11-04 19:49:01 -0400
oops sorry too many should resigns in that comment, actually on second thought maybe not enough calls for them to resign.
commented 2016-11-04 19:47:13 -0400
So they should resign for negligence and failure to do their jobs and should resign ,but if they are telling the truth as they claim then they are admitting they are incompetent and should resign.
