WATCH: Top 12 highlights from Tarek Fatah’s speech at Muslims Against M-103 rally

David MenziesMission Specialist

Debate over the anti-blasphemy motion, M-103, has come and gone, but the fallout remains.

Numerous individuals and groups continue to denounce the anti-Islamophobia initiative. And one group that has joined the chorus is Muslims Against M-103, which staged a rally in Mississauga last week.

Too bad Justin Trudeau wasn’t in attendance to take in the event. He would have seen visible-minority Muslims decrying M-103, noting that all this motion will do is divide Canadians.

And they’re right.

The keynote speaker at Muslims Against M-103 was author, intellectual and anti-Islamist crusader Tarek Fatah.

Fatah spoke for almost an hour, receiving several standing ovations.

His speech was too long to run in its entirety but watch as we break down Fatah’s speech into a Top 12 highlight package.

As was mentioned by Dirk I believe, Imam’s and most Muslims (except for Tarek Fatah’s reformist friends) consider him an apostate.
Tarek has said many times that there is a fatwa on his head.

Jamie: Thank you for that example. And I agree with your view of that issue. I simply wanted an example from you so that I could determine whether or not I understood what you were saying/meaning. There are definitely areas that are difficult to iron out, and where we need to do a little discerning as to how to apply the passage. There are theologians I respect highly who disagree with each other and with whom I disagree on various points of interpretation. I love reading John Calvin, and am fully on side with some of his theology. But at other points I totally disagree and believe that his hermeneutical approach is seriously flawed. (I am definitely not putting myself on the level of Calvin as an influential thinker!)

But Calvin and I have one important thing in common – we would both see the Bible as the word of God and attempt to use it, as Hebrews 4:12 says: “For the word of God is living and active, sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing to the division of soul and spirit, of joints and marrow, and discerning the thoughts and intentions of the heart.” I believe that includes both the convenient and the inconvenient passages. I just believe that Fatah must cherry-pick, to which I would ask if his religion is really Islam, or a mutation of Islam, which then would not be Islam and he would not be a true Muslim.

“…How do you accommodate different sentiments and call yourself a Christian?”

Quite simple, PAUL. I take what I want from it, but leave the rest. For example, I believe in “thou shall not kill.” But there’s a practical side in me that is quite prepared to disregard that great advice if it meant saving my own life or the life of a family member.

Good points from both Peter and Joe. I do not have a response to what is best – if Fatah remains a “Muslim”. But if he were to convert to Christianity, which will be the work of God and not some mortals like us, that would be THE BEST. The evidence from a transformed life would be the best testimony to his fellow “Muslims” proving the falsity and hollowness of Islam. I think that would have the greatest impact. Nabeel Kureshi (sp?) is one of many wonderful examples.
But conversion is, again, a work of God, and we can only pray for Fatah’s heart to be touched. He knows about the gospel and has so far rejected it in favour of the demonic path that he is following. No matter how forthright, upright and progressive he thinks he is being, hell awaits him nonetheless. He needs conversion to the only one who can save him.

Only one answer, DUMP TRUDEAU. Top of the CN Tower would be a good place.

Interesting. No doubt Jihadi Justin will double down on M 103 to ensure freedom of speech is snuffed out. Then we won’t even be able to criticize him or his Gov’t due to the Muslim MP’s present! Question is whether he will build prisons/gulags like Pierre started until found out, or summary execution?

It means that Terek is a phony Muslim, if you must use that term, but wouldn’t that be a issue his fellow Muslims should address?

As long as he is following our laws, how phony he is, is an issue between him and his “god” and him and his fellow Muslims.

What I am saying is that any influence he can assert on his fellow Muslims to not follow the Koran as it is written is a good thing regardless of how much of a hypocrite he is.

You tell me, is it better he:
1) stop trying to convince his fellow Muslims to live in Western society following our laws,
2) follow the Koran fully as it is written,
3) crawl back into the woodwork and shut up forever

If I missed an option, let me know.

Peter, I understand and agree with what you say about interpretations. But:
“What I like about him is his calling out his fellow Muslims and standing on the side of Western civilization democratic rule of law…”?
This proves that Fatah is a phony. He wants to think of himself as a Muslim and yet use Western values, which are anti-Islam. THAT is the fake man, right there.
commented 2017-04-17 11:38:57 -0400
I would accept what this man says with a bit more respect if he would do the right thing: out and out renounce his phony Islamic beliefs and turn his back completely on Islam. THEN he can preach peace and fellowship with the rest of Canada. Islam in any form does not belong here or anywhere else – it is a demonic system, period. Stop praising these apostates, folk. Open your eyes. The devil comes in many disguises. It’s Fatah’s crazy belief that you can be a ‘moderate’ Muslim that urns me off. There is either a Muslim or there isn’t a Muslim. This man wants it both ways, and he is simply wrong. Being as intelligent as he is, he should convert; he would make a far better Christian than the fake, pretend Muslim that he now is.

@ Paul Dixon

I understand what you are saying.

If a Christian does not follow the Bible as it is written then that Christian is not following the Bible as he should. This should also be the same for Muslim and the Koran.

In regards to the Bible, if it is interpreted according to the proper methods of hermeneutics and advanced exegesis it does not contradict itself so following it to its’ fullest become possible and living in our society is possible while still following the Bible completely.

When it comes to the Koran this is not possible. To follow the Koran as it is written, even using proper textual interpretation techniques, will lead to an serious incompatibility with Western democratically ruled societies.

That is why Terek must pick and choose what he wants to follow.

However, (and this is my point), this is his own personal issue between him and whom he has chosen to worship.

What I like about him is his calling out his fellow Muslims and standing on the side of Western civilization democratic rule of law.

And really when it comes down to it, is his personal relationship with who he chooses to worship any of our business so long as it does not conflict with the laws of our society?

Jamie – two things.
1. How do you accommodate different sentiments and call yourself a Christian? I am just unclear on, and interested in, what you mean.

2. My point about Fatah was this: A Muslim, in any description that I have seen, is one who follows the Koran and the teachings of Mohammed, with Mohammed proclaimed as the great model for life. I have read the Koran and seen some of the teachings of Mohammed and wonder how anyone but the terrorists and ISIS can actually call themselves legitimate Muslims (I am not the only one who makes this assertion)! This is the equivalent of someone calling himself a Christian, calling the Bible the word of God, and claiming to follow Jesus, and then on the other hand cherry-picking what he wants to believe about the Bible as it falls in line with his lifestyle and preferences. This type of approach would certainly not be called original, historic or biblical Christianity! It would be called accommodation to the spirit of the age!

Both a Christian and a Muslim must look in the mirror and ask if he is being honest with himself or not. None of us meets the absolute perfect standards, neither you, Jamie, nor I, since we are all sinners, but we must be honest about who and what we see ourselves as being.

“…but in what way can he accommodate his different sentiments and still call himself a legitimate Muslim? "

Well, PAUL, I have a confession – I do the same thing with Christianity…and I consider myself a Christian.
commented 2017-04-17 08:26:30 -0400
I am still suspicious of someone like Fatah who knows what is in the Koran and the Hadith and yet can actually still call himself a Muslim, wave the Koran around, and speak about “the prophet” Mohammed with no sense of disgust. I know Islamists dislike him, and he speaks against them to the point of having the threats to his life in India, but in what way can he accommodate his different sentiments and still call himself a legitimate Muslim?

And his brand of Islam is a losing cause, the same as the way the mainline Christian churches can hardly keep their doors open because they have watered down the teachings of the Bible so much to the point of making themselves irrelevant.

Ahhh the infamous blasphemy laws , anti-islamophobia legislation …….. Motion-103 submitted , ironically , by a Pakistani immigrant .
The largest # of victims of ‘islamophobia’ is perpetuated by Muslims against other sects of Islam, especially in Pakistan where the Ahmadis & other religious minorities are violently persecuted with the screams of …….BLASPHEMY …… This type of Islamophobic violence is a vicious violence, sectarian bloodletting , internecine slaughter , where mosques/shrines/madrassahs and places of worship of the ‘others’ are targets of choice …. Yet it is westerners, who need to be shackled & silenced & lose their speech with anti-Islamophobic laws………… Blasphemy laws to curtail imagined western ‘islamophobia’ ….. Here, again , we see sharia drop it’s velvet glove and expose a bloody iron  fist ……demanding a totalitarian submission to its creed……

Billy Howard said—To the Canadians of all Religions who live here because of our traditional Western values; we need to rise up and take our Country back."
We know our Gov’t and useless Opposition are giving away our Country and therefore are the culprits and not the solution, but what about our many different Religious Institutions?
There are thousands of different Churches in Canada, all subsidized by the taxpayer, yet they seem to be doing nothing about Trudeau’s onslaught against his citizens through Islam.
I just saw some Sikhs and Hindus helping Kevin Johnson fight the crooked Peel School Board , so why can’t the 30 other Religions help fight the Muslim takeover. If they don’t, they are the big losers.
Last year Ezra made a speech at a Synagogue and commented that these Jewish people are in the tunnel and don’t recognize the lights of the train coming at them at full speed. Of all people the Jews should be on the alert.
As far as the Catholics go, they must make Pope Francis resign,as many have called him the Anti-Christ and going by his speeches, I agree.
All our Religions are being threatened; they must start to fight back against Islam or they are the first to die.

Our intellectually challenged PM has chosen the wrong hill to die on with his enbracing intolerant radical Islamists – the very despotic theocrats Muslim Canadians moved here to get away from. PM selfie is on a trajectory for being a one term PM.

Tarek Fatah is a secular Muslim a reformist, and an honorable man, but by Islam’s standard he and other reformists like him are not Muslims they are apostates.
My kind of Muslim.
However I still don’t want my country flooded and reform at this point is but a dream far far in the future. I wish him luck but have no faith we will see any meaningful reform on any broad scale given the fluidity of the theocracy of Islam and all of its sects and tribes. http://www.real-islam.org/73_8.htm
The 73 Divisions of Islam and One True Jama’at
If he could ease the tensions and differences between the different factions of Islam already in Canada it would be a miracle. The tensions between Muslim and non Muslim in Canada will indeed be exacerbated by m 103 and other aggressions by politicians in Justin’s party. It is a lose lose for everybody with this bunch in power.
Tarek Fatah does not mince his words about the mostly foreign born eleven Muslim MP’s currently bossing us around from our own Parliament, and I thank him for it.

Tarek Fatah and his speeches should get at least as much press as Iqra Khalid. He should actually get more.
It’s speeches like this in front of a packed house of applauding Muslims that gives me hope for the future. Western values and secularism MUST be defended. Muslims must rise up and defend the principles stated by Mr. Fatah. MSM MUST show that modern Muslims are against M103 and the supremacy of Sharia Law in Canada. This speech should have been headline news across the MSM. The speech should be required viewing by ALL Muslim school children.
Harper began the downfall of Canadian values when he caved to the Soros SJWs by defending Islamist values and abandoning secularism. Trudeau won the election and proceeded to abandon western values with far more gusto and determination.
Canada has had Muslims as part of our country for 100+ years. Our weak-kneed misdirected sense of social justice, attributed to Islamist and globalist propaganda funding, has taken us to where we are today – a divided country: A division made worse by Trudeau’s determination to “Strengthen our Diversity” by weakening our unity.
To Canadians of all religions who live here because of our traditional western values: We need to rise up and take our country back.
