WATCH Trudeau’s “Laurentian elite” response to Kenney’s Alberta job loss concern

Sheila Gunn ReidRebel Host | The Gunn Show

I have to show you this video from the House of Commons. It’s video the mainstream media won’t show you. They won’t even talk about it.

Western Feedlots, one of Canada’s largest cattle feeder operations, announced that it’s closing up shop after 60 years. The company CEO laid the blame with the NDP and their job killing carbon tax.

Jason Kenney, MP for Calgary-Midnapore, raised the issue in the House of Commons as proof positive that the federal government shouldn’t proceed with a nationwide price on carbon of their own.

Watch my video to see the response from Prime Minister Trudeau and the rest of the Liberal caucus. You won’t believe it.

Maybe Trudeau would care about people in Alberta losing their jobs if they were Ontario autoworkers. He’d create a special program just for them.

But we are talking about Alberta farm workers. They don’t count to Laurentian elites.

Trudeau is Canada’s version of Obama, a divisive polarizing social engineer with the mindset of a millennial ingrate. Mandated by a sense of liberal entitlement Laurentian arrogance and a myopic belief of moral superiority. His level of political correctness is only out done by his gross hypocrisy and incompetence. A true narcissistic megalomaniac and embarrassment to Canada.

OK, we’ve heard Justin Trudeau say time and time again in the media that " he deeply regrets Alberta job losses and his heart goes out to affected families". Yes, he has said it, literally thousands of times. However, what he really wants his legacy to be, is making the hard decisions to save the planet from the devastating effects of climate change. Yes, there will be growing pains as Canada transitions to a green economy, but that’s what it will take to save us all. (p.s. Yes, Justin may have been fairly curt with this particular MP, but perhaps the MP has antagonized the prime minister daily to illicit such a reaction, and Justin is simply fed up with him personally. We don’t know the whole context just from this short clip.)

Nothing but the separation of manitoba, Saskatchewan, Alberta, the Northwest Territories and the Yukon…
And if the greenies in BC ever wake up they could join with the Western alliance…
We are watching in high-speed and in high definition the absolute destruction of our country that we the ancestors of the settlers and pioneers the carved this great nation out of the wilderness.
We have not ever nor will we ever receive fair treatment as long as we are only considered to have colony status in “club Canada.”and we continue to make transfer payments which keeps us in a secondary role to our membership in the “club Canada.”

This blatant display from this bunch of arrogant, brainless, smug, pathetic excuse for ministers tells it all, they couldn’t care less for Albertans. Selfie PM can’t respond logically so he makes an ass of himself, then gives us a glance of the smug on his face, while his goons in the back laugh & clap. this is truly dispicable…..PHOOEY!!!!!!!

Anita virginillo said;
“Plant based alternatives are the number 1 food trend and sales are expected to be $5.2 Billion by 2010. These are the reasons for the closure — the world is finally getting and I for one, could not be happier. Goodbye to a nasty industry!! Everyone should watch Conspiracy on Netflix, it paints the picture.”

You really don’t have a clue do you…!!!
Another personal opinion on how the world should be run through the eyes of a wanabee dictator.
You just don’t see it do you…!!! You are no better than the assholes who are choking out our freedoms and driving away our industry. if you want to eat plants and bugs and bird droppings and anything else that you can scrape under the dirt off the surface or pull from a branch that is your right to do so but it is not your right to inflict your lifestyle with force if necessary on me or anyone else..

Anita Virginillo … you millennials will surely miss beef…but then you will have an unchanged earth with just as much carbon as before and a humourless, ignorant and dull life…great trade off eh? Don’t you know that your brains are not fully developed until you are 25? That is why the voting age should be raised.

It’s time Trudeau and his band of fellow Marie Antoinettes
lost THEIR jobs…shall we do it this election?…Pierre may not be his actual father, but having raised him, so we are told, the baby has learned to be as heartless and void of responsibility as Pierre…such a vain pinhead. Hey Wikileaks…give us some help here, eh? And how about moving Canada’s capital to Saskatoon?

Okee dokee.

Bit of a conspiracy theory/stretch here but…

I used to own a fair sized ranch with some pretty good hunting, so good, that a larger western Canadian city’s police force had a hunting cabin on it, and did we get some wild stories from them, one of which was that on the few occasions that Pierre and Margret Trudeau visited, those cops providing security learned that Pierre was really gay, and all Margret’s kids were actually from various men on their security detail.

Maybe true, maybe not, but those of us old enough back then do remember the “rumors” of Margret’s infidelity, and even of some kind of affair with Mick Jagger.

So far, big whup but…

A couple days ago I was having a beer with some friends, and one of the group, a lawyer, brought up that every time the Stones perform in Canada, they do a free concert, and he asked us if we knew why.

Seems, back in the T.M. days, when the Stones were performing in some eastern Canadian city, the police raided an after concert party, finding not only that the place was absolutely loaded with drugs, but that Margret was “Gettin’ it on” with some of the band, maybe Mick, (Which might be the source of the source of said rumors) maybe with more.

And in the end the deal worked out was the Stones had to perform a free concert, in perpetuity, whenever in Canada, which has now become sort of a “tradition.”

Now, if such about Margret’s infidelity, and Pierre’s closet lifestyle are true?

Then Justin actually IS, a bastard son of a bitch.

Truly sounds like his father. If we don’t stand up soon it will only get worse. With the NDP in Alberta and BC kowtowing to Ottawa, the way our kids in schools and Universities are being indoctrinated by the progressives and now our shrinking , still thinking, older group of voters is going to be pushed out.
Sorry to say this but my feeling is that the progressive policies are a long term planned generational process and all they are doing is to wait until older people that still know how to think for themselves and have the wherewithal to do the best for everyone will be dead.! Just look at the last election :
A vote for a hair do.

Michelle, all that proves is that you can cut and paste an untitled article by an un named author from an unidentified source. It proves nothing. The only way to prove the context is to view the footage from the House Of Commons in its entirety. Until you do that you can not legitimately make accusations about context or lack thereof.
You have clearly never perused if you think Sheila’s clip has been manipulated. But hey, if you want to dispute what is right in front of your face that’s fine with me, just don’t slander the Rebel with a totally unsubstantiated claim and expect to get away with it uncountered.

Regarding Westerns reasons for shutting down operations, they clearly state in the cover page Sheila has a screen shot of, that aside from market factors, Western states, " the poor political and economic climate in Alberta are also contributing factors in this decision."
Notely’s carbon tax is but another hit business must take. It cannot be conveniently excluded from the umbrella of provincial restrictions Notely has burdened business owners with. To pretend that because a list of Notely’s restrictions was not written out and itemized by Western so as to include the words ‘carbon tax’ for you, does not preclude it from being a part of the reason. The carbon tax puts a burden on producers in Alberta, and is a factor in many closing up shop. That is indisputable.

Just a note regarding the dig at the auto workers …

Yup – we all know Trudeau moved some auto worker money around that was already designated for the auto workers – so that it could be used to help the process along so the Union and GM could come to a faster and better resolution without a strike and possible closure of plants. And you disagree with that? Well … first off … it’s the very least the government could do for an industry that they are killing off with the damn free trade agreement and now Harper’s parting gift to us with the industry and job killing TPP. Secondly, if the government didn’t step in to help out – GM had plans to close shop within 4 years of all plants. Why is that not discussed ever?? It’s not secret what they were planning for Oshawa, and the same would have taken place in St. Catharines within 4-8 years.

So before you go off and spout more rhetoric to support your disdain for help auto workers received – get your facts. Over 6,000 between 3 locations stood to loose jobs over a phase out and transfer of work to “cheaper” (ie Mexico) labor force. I am sorry for the 85 workers in Alberta, and sorry for the loss of another company – but don’t compare one to another – it’s apples and oranges. Learn more about it before spouting off.

Thank you.

Well, I did check, and contrary to what this bias website would have you believe, Trudeau’s comments were taken completely out of context like I suspected. This is what I found on the subject, and it was reported in the mainstream media, just in a completely different context which has the ring of truth, unlike this site. Here is what was written about the subject:

“Longtime Conservative MP and former Harper cabinet minister Jason Kenney may have spent his last week as an MP in Ottawa but his heart — and political focus — were apparently already in Alberta, where he’s staging a bid for the leadership of the Conservative party in an effort to “unite the right” in the province.

Kenney spent his final week as a federal MP raising issues of particular importance to Alberta voters so frequently and with such evident passion that Prime Minister Justin Trudeau made a crack about it during question period.

Monday through Thursday, Kenney mentioned Alberta every day in the House of Commons — in a member’s statement, a question — or both, in a way that sounded less like the usual righteous indignation of a federal MP and more like the righteous indignation of a man already running against Alberta NDP Leader Rachel Notley."

There’s your context.

Farmers, ranchers and oil & gas industry leaders don’t wait for carbon crap, business taxes, minimum wages to be implemented. It’s called having vision based on experience and wisdom. They have a pretty darn good handle on how their operations are running as well as the impact government policy will affect their future operations.
Western has been operating for how many years ?
How many employees will this affect?
Did they take this decision lightly?
Western Feedlots did not close up shop upon the announcement either. They announced they will be shutting operations down. And they were very clear as to why.

“Plant based alternatives expecting to make up 5.2B in world sales by 2010?” Anita, you should proof read your cut and pastes before posting.

Iherent cruelty in agriculture? You must be referring to the method used in the butchering of thousands of sheep as a celebration of sacrifice by the muslims?

There have always been alternative plant options available at the local grocer. Beens, peas, lettuce, potatoes, canola, sprouts, corn, cabbage, carrots……. etc. etc. etc. which make up a far greater sales figure than 5.2 B.
Sorry but you haven’t changed my perspective. In fact, I think I’m more convinced that Carbon Tax is NEP Version 2.
commented 2016-09-29 14:10:51 -0400
What a myopic view to think that the NDP govt or the carbon tax (which hasn’t even been implemented yet) are the reasons behind the closure of Western Feedlots. There is less demand globally for beef because people are finally waking and realizing that beef is the number 1 contributor to GHG emissions. Emitting more GHGs than all modes of transportation combined, including all cars, ships, trains & airplanes. It is the leading cause of ocean acidification, deforestation & and land degradation. The water used for beef production makes the water used in fracking look like a drop in the bucket. Furthermore people are becoming more educated consumers, especially when it comes to food. Beef consumption is one of the leading causes of stroke, heart disease, cancer and obesity. Not to mention the inherent cruelty in animal agriculture. There are now numerous plant based alternatives available in most grocery stores. Plant based alternatives are the number 1 food trend and sales are expected to be $5.2 Billion by 2010. These are the reasons for the closure — the world is finally getting and I for one, could not be happier. Goodbye to a nasty industry!! Everyone should watch Conspiracy on Netflix, it paints the picture.
