WATCH: University students prefer Fidel Castro over Donald Trump

StaffRebel Columnist

In a new video by Campus Reform, students at American University in Washington, DC say they prefer Cuban dictator Fidel Castro to President-elect Donald Trump.

“I mean, right now I don’t think Donald Trump is very good, and I know that Fidel Castro has done some good things for the world so I’d say he’s proven himself at least in the long term to be more favorable,” one student says.

“I would say, at this very moment, I have, um, a better opinion of Fidel Castro,” another student admitted.

A male student repeated Justin Trudeau and called Castro a 'remarkable leader' – a statement that made him an international laughingstock.

Some students called the question 'hard' and couldn't answer.

“Deborah: I too was stunned when I learned kids don’t know how to write. Does that mean they don’t understand handwriting also?”

I would think it would be harder to decipher for them, but if they can read at least they could attempt to read it. Though reading comprehension would be a challenge too.

This goes right back to a parenting problem. These kids are spoiled brats and I completely agree that they need some hard lessons to toughen up! An, older gentlemen says that the way to fix these kids is to bring in mandatory military enrollment. That way they will learn discipline and respect. Sounds good, and so does sending them to live under a communist dictatorship. Trudeau should be sent with them as he has the same issues.

I so wish we could make them live under a communist dictatorship , see how they feel waiting in line for a roll of toilet paper.

The word “equal” is poison. For if I accept that word then I must by default reject “qualified”. And it would be far more meaningful to me…and to all concerned…..that I welcome the investiture of a collegue as being “qualified” rather than “equal”.

For as long as they are qualified then by default they are “IN DEED” equal.

Do these people realize they’d be dead if they lived there? I’ve come to the conclusion that idiots go to university because they need to be taught as opposed to learning

These are the people who decide if I live or get an injection.

Imagine, they used to ask the same question back in the turn of the 20th century: can you read and write?

Ontario (I don’t know about other provinces) medical files are or have already been computerized.
Is it to make the system more efficient or is it to accommodate the upcoming new generation doctors who don’t know how to read or write.

Deborah: I too was stunned when I learned kids don’t know how to write. Does that mean they don’t understand handwriting also?

The obvious problem is the lack of education at the university level. These kids simply never heard of all the shitty things Castro did, or chose to not believe them. Combined with believing all the shitty things told to them by their peers and professors about Trump, true or not. The whole system could be defeated by instilling a need to question and verify things independently, instead of just taking things on faith because authority figures told them what to believe and not believe. It’s what I do. It’s why I’m a conservative. Even when I was a socialist, I heard some things about some of the socialist heros that made me uncomfortable. At a certain point I figured out that maybe instead of always having to defend Castro, Douglas, Lenin, (and all the rest of them) maybe I should consider some of the arguments I hear for the right wing. I can’t help but wonder if there’s a similar point among the average collectivist; a number of times that you’re faced with apologizing for some shitty thing some left wing “leader” did and rationalizing that “sure, but he’s still better than (Trump, Bush, Harper, Wall, whomever)” starts to get old when the scandals start piling up. We just gotta keep pushing it in their faces, I guess.

Everybody in Cuba is equal. They live on about $25 a month plus a ration card. If they are decorated war heros and favoured by the regieme they might get to clean the toilets at the resorts Canadians really love for the price bargain. Some go down to play sugar daddy and do a little sexual tourism. One of the salvations for the locals seems to be music….if you are good you will be appreciated….there are a lot of great musicians in Cuba….and in spite of it all….even the geriatrics on walkers will get up to dance. Some elements of the human spirit cannot be crushed.

They are teaching them to be failures, by becoming illiterate at the hands of those who wish to control them. They masked this sleight of hand, by not allowing anyone to fail, because it might embarrass them, and hurt their self-esteem. Even when the parents knew that their kid should be held back, the schools overrode parental authority. A lot of schools don’t even teach them cursive handwriting anymore. Hand writing is unique to the individual, and is like a finger print. They can’t have anything that makes an individual stand out against the crowd. They don’t want them to excel at anything, where they could become a danger or a threat to Marxist elite goal of a one world government. They have destroy critical thinking in these kids, but have instilled an attitude that they deserve what everyone else does, without working for it, and have turned them against capitalism. Society is on the decline and the reasons have become glaringly obvious.

Here are a few things I’ve seen American or Canadian students say over the last couple of years:
- when asked to name one of the ships that sailed with Columbus on his first journey to the New World, one student guessed: “The Titanic?”
- when asked when World War II was, a whole bunch of students had no idea. One was pretty sure that it was three centuries ago.
- when asked what job Hitler had, one student guessed “President of Amsterdam?”
- when asked who Winston Churchill was, one student guessed “An American general?”

A British psychiatrist always did a general knowledge assessment of his new patients. Considering only patients who’d had their whole education in Britain, in his entire career of at least 20 years, he only encountered two patients who could correctly state the dates that Britain participated in WW II. He only encountered a half dozen patients who could correctly multiply six by seven.

Our schools have become appallingly bad. It’s an utter disgrace. At the very least, the curricula need a major overhaul so that students learn at least basic arithmetic and basic history. We may well need to replace a heck of a lot of teachers: the ones we have now are not doing their jobs.

Well ,Castro did make possibilities for the Cuban people , really, the End.

Our schools, colleges, universities, media, etc., were slowly/quietly hijacked by the socialist left.
Our youth, left to these policies of social justice, liberal socialism etc., become no common sense pussified snowflakes.
We simply need to reverse the bullshit,
And we need to start with the media……

This shows what the moonbat profs are teaching in their classes since these kids actually believe that such a vile and evil man as Castro is good and preferable over Trump. They should move to Cuba might be an enlightening venture for them.

I’m sure a lot of people in Cuba would trade places with these snow flakes any day. What a bunch of dumb asses.

Universities should be closed and all the professors fired, or at least they should lose all public funding. Unless they’re studying the hard sciences, like medicine or engineering, they are actually taking people who are already stupid and making them more stupid…. and evil. We shouldn’t subsidize stupidity with our tax dollars. That just makes us look stupid.

It is disturbing to hear those students prefer Fidel Castro over Donald Trump.

The grade school socialist indoctrination and the university socialist indoctrination has succeeded brilliantly (from a socialist point of view, of course).

Sad to see so many young minds poisoned with vengeance-based neo-Marxism – Part of the problem is obvious – that being that factual history teaching has been flushed down the PC memory hole.

Again we see street interviews on general knowledge in which pivotal world events are omitted – in this case the fact Castro pushed the world to the brink of nuclear destruction to placate his hatreds and enormous ego.

Once Trump is actually in power, things will change rather quickly because the liberals will loose their shield of anonymity and there is nothing they fear worse than being named and being called out for their gutless crimes against decent hardworking people who’s only fault would be to protect themselves and their way of life, a liberal feels it is wrong to stick up for yourself and your beliefs.

“Having said that, it does not mean the teachers and administrators should not be brought to justice for subverting these delicate little pussies brains.

They are not equipped for critical thinking, only reactionary thoughts that are triggered instead of reasoned". Ditto that Roger. We should start burning these academics at the stake.

Unfortunately the moment they divide us is the moment they win, youth has always been liberal and experience and reality turn adults into conservatives, as they age they will learn.

Once the steady flow of lies and ignorance is out of their minds they will understand.

Having said that, it does not mean the teachers and administrators should not be brought to justice for subverting these delicate little pussies brains.

They are not equipped for critical thinking, only reactionary thoughts that are triggered instead of reasoned.

Send these uninformed snowflakes to Cuba to live. We’ll see how long it takes them to change their minds. I think the professors should be arrested for teaching propaganda, instead of real history.

The depths of delusion, ignorance and insanity manifested in these children’s ‘beliefs’ is frightening, terrifying! And them all ‘educated’ at a center for higher learning…
There’s no hope for it. There’s no hope for us. The rot is in the system – it was designed in, to secure and maintain the power structure for the elites – on our backs! It was designed as a covert fascism that is now moving to an overt Totalitarian Global Fascist State. It has taken them generations to condition enough weak sheep and useful idiots to get a minimum number to help them pull off this world-wide coup!
We ain’t fixin’ nothin’…we need to start over…and we need to start learning from our mistakes.
Death to traitors!
