It’s nauseating listening to Liberals crow about how Canada is back and respected again, especially when they point to the love Trudeau gets from lefty publications as happened this weekend when he made Fortune Magazine’s list of top world leaders. He’s number 48!
Not that this is a list of the top fifty politicians mind you. Number one spot is occupied by Jeff Bezos, the CEO of Amazon and owner of the Washington Post.
There are politicians on the list like Angela Merkel at number two. And the globalist set is represented by the likes of Christina Figueres, the head of the UN climate change convention who comes in at number 7.
Sheikh Hasina, the prime minister of Bangladesh is number ten, and Argentina’s president is 26th. Okay, there are lots of folks ahead of him but don't worry, Canada is back baby!
Justin looks young and handsome in his photo, gazing dreamily towards Vancouver from the window of an office tower.
He’s behind Bono, singer John Legend and House Speaker Paul Ryan, but surely he’s only in 48th spot because everyone else is super awesome and powerful and cool. Like Nick Saban, head football coach at the University of Alabama.
Also beating Trudeau is Ramón Mendéz, the Head of Climate Change Policy, Uruguay. Yep, Trudeau didn't place behind Uruguay's president, he placed behind the head of climate change policy who’s just ahead of Trudeau at number 46.
Even John Oliver, Host and Executive Producer of ”Last Week Tonight”, a weekly comedy show that gives a satirical take on the news, is ranked higher than Justin Trudeau.
The Media Party won’t mention this because like the Liberals, they’re just so happy to think that the world really, really likes us! So relieved that Stephen Harper and the Conservatives are gone!
The fact is, under Harper, Canada was liked and respected by world leaders for what we did, what we accomplished. Now we’re liked by a new wave of foreign, mostly American media who like PM selfie and his flowing locks because his views match their own.
I'd rather Canada be a respected country for what we accomplish rather than one that feeds off the glow of a left wing media echo chamber.
