Weekend in Whistler: Do Trudeau’s actions match his words on climate change?

Brian LilleyArchive

Trudeau’s schedule said he was in private meetings this weekend but based on photos in the media, it seems he and the family decided to fly across the country to Whistler for some quality skiing!

I don’t begrudge him a vacation but considering that Trudeau and his Ministers often tell us how important it is to “act on climate change”, how do his personal actions match up with his words?

Not very well it seems.

Even worse, while he’s all talk and no action when it comes to making sacrifices to “save the planet”, you and I will be the ones who will have to pay for the policy decisions this Liberal government will make for a problem that scientists have yet to prove, or agree, exists.

This isn’t Trudeau forcing something on everyone that no one wants, this is many Canadians supporting something that some minority of Canadians oppose.
Good Spin genius, every poll so far has shown the exact opposite.

The media party would have us believe that he is in B.C. because he is meeting with the First Nations and then the First Ministers on Mar. 2, and 3. He is just catching some slope time en route to Vancouver.

Well, people were smart enough to vote for a trust-fund baby who never had a serious job. Then capitalized on his brother’s death to get on the lucrative “motivational” speaker circuit. What could go wrong?

Gerald Butts should point out to the PM in short pants about the skiing in Quebec. Naturally this is on the taxpayers dime. Selfie Boy must think because he was born December 25, he clearly is the second coming entitled to his entitlements a la Dave Dingwall. I see the village idiot Mr. Christensen has made an appearance.

Yeah, his motorcade was idling for a bit, hence carbon taxes are irrelevant. OK guys.

I thought I’d drop in at the “Funny Farm” today to see what fearmongering was going on. Didn’t stay long. :)

We just have to hope for a GOP to be elected President to curtail this Climate Change madness. No polls on either side of the border has Climate Change to be anywhere close to be an issue that matters. Can you imagine the response Junior would get from Donald Trump were our Embarrassment of a PM to suggest to Trump that Climate Change continues to be the greatest threat to mankind as it had been with Obama? What a smack down that would be.

Of course not! “Saving the planet” and “climate change” is only for the peasants. The dictraitor and entourage expect the peasants to do as they’re told, not themselves lead by example!
commented 2016-03-01 08:56:32 -0500

way to save the planet you lying sack of shit. all this does is prove your climate panic is a lie and you don’t give a shit about it.
typical liberal…

Where’s an avalanche when you need one??

Trudeau looks like he is saving his energy for the “apres ski all guys K-Y party” in the village.

Aren’t these lying liberals unbelievable? Can’t even tell the truth about where this evil so-called pm is. I am just so sick of these idiots already. Climate change is the biggest scam ever but the lies still go on and not one msm so-called journalist will question anything. Don’t these idiots msm realize, they will also have to pay big time for all this evil tax and it will change absolutely NOTHING, except everything will cost so much more. Well said Yvette and all of you, IT’S WAY TIME WE PUSH BACK AGAINST THIS LYING BS. I CAN’T BELIEVE WE CAN’T GET ANYWHERE IN DESTROYING THIS BS about so-called climate change. The UN is behind this scam as well.

Come on people his jet runs on magic carbon free pixydustinium 3. Us peasants just do not know about it yet.

This lame brained intellectual midget has lived in la-la land for so long, he has NO idea what real people have to put up with, particularly with this incompetent government we have in Ottawa, NOR does he care. He considers himself superior to all of us…..most liberals do….hence their clamouring to be first to ‘help’ Syrian refugees….they look their nose down at these people, makes them feel good to be so superior. Makes me sick.

The con-man’s maxim… Never let a fake crisis go to waste!

btw, some great points Daryl Herman and Yvette Mozol and others.

Well Trudeau is being more transparent, I can see right through the b.s. he is slinging.

Better snow in Banff and its closer to an airport. But then again he might not have gotten a warm welcome this side of the Rockies.

Yvette – this “Climate Change” thing is a New-age religion – goes very well with the Muslim religion – it’s Marxism. – which has been orchestrated to break the Western Democracies and to “attempt” to show the world whom is Boss – only thing wrong with that assumption is that those idiots “bleed” the same way the rest of us peons do!
commented 2016-02-29 22:10:07 -0500
What a turd. Butt boy kept his seat warm while he played in the snow.
commented 2016-02-29 22:07:35 -0500
Too bad there won’t be a horde of MSM reporters questioning Trudeau about his carbon footprint when man made global warning is such an existential threat.
commented 2016-02-29 21:54:51 -0500
This climate change scam/fallacy is like a sickness with them with no cure in sight The proposals they will come up at their meeting will bankrupt this country all because they think there will be a 2 degree increase by the end of the century, imagine that a 2 degree increase…..give your head a shake!!! This science is not settled but to them it’s gospel. What are the rest of us supposed to do about that, just accept it & dig into our wallet? I would like to know how taxing everything more is going to change the temperature. Now they have come out with a report saying that all the winter storms, hurricanes, floods, etc are costing Canadians millions of dollars & it’s all due to climate change, when it’s actually factual that all of these occurrences are happening less often.
For the life of me, I would like one of these politicians explain to me just how CO2, causes the temp to rise & what will be the damage to the planet if the temp increases by a mere 2 degrees by the end of the century. They all talk about millions of tonnes . of carbon emissions & I would like to know how this is all measured. The majority of us who are not scientists don’t have a clue as to what they’re talking about & frankly I don’t think that the pro climate change politicians know either & just follow like the sheep they are.
Snow storms, floods, tornados etc have been happening forever but dumb ass Gore had a great idea to make himself very wealthy & the left could hardly wait to push that in our face, so here we are.

I’ve said it before, its unfortunate he wasn’t skiing with his brother in the Kootenays that fateful day years ago, today’s problems wouldn’t exist.

JT. The jetsetting celebrity PM.

While that sort of image does have its appeal, it’s only short term. Actually, it gets tiresome and annoying after a while. At some point, JT will come off looking like a devil-may-care teenager, living a delightful life of irresponsibility. I’m sure he’s delegated much of his responsibility to his underlings. The fatal problem with being an absent PM is that when the crap does hit the fan, he will never know about it. And when he returns to Ottawa, he will have that crap all over his face.

JT should take to heart President Truman’s belief that “the buck stops here”. That means that all trouble will land on the President’s Desk and it’s the President who has to own them.

Well we just keep in mind that he is from Que.
commented 2016-02-29 19:20:58 -0500
He’s certainly ruling in the Obama model, never let your responsibilities get in the way of the opportunity to take a vacation and taking steps to have a lower carbon footprint is for the little people not the elite.

Dear Diary;
I thought he was going to be one of my best chums, but Kevin Page, he’s the Parliamentary Budget Officer, keeps telling fibs about me.
Like for example, telling people that Stevie’s deficit that I’ve inherited is actually a surplus. Who does he think he’s trying to fool? Does he think I’m stupid or what? Has he forgotten that I nearly almost partially completed an undergraduate course at the Poly in Montreal? And believe me, if there’s one thing I know something about, it’s that I know a thing or two about inheritances.
And another thing, it’s one thing to try and pull the wool over my eyes, but it’s quite something else to be using the truth to turn my people against me. Telling the truth to try and put someone in a bad light is not how we do things in the Liberal party.
Now, after giving my brilliant spending plan the “thumbs up” back in October, saying that it was realistic, prudent and transparent, he’s saying that my government is even less open and transparent than Stevie’s was. What a crock. I’ve got news for him. There is no shortage of people in my country, even right here on the Rebel, who say that I might not be open, but I’m so transparent that they can see right through me.

Yes, what Junior says makes national headlines. What he does that belies the narrative does not. So, Trudeau taking a 1 day vacation, well ok. Him lecturing us about our carbon footprint while his is huge, no coverage on that. Wish I had a jet to take me away from all this ‘climate change’ otherwise known as a Canadian winter.
commented 2016-02-29 18:55:55 -0500
The headline that he skied off a cliff or slammed head first into a large rock would have been a great way to start our week! Just sayin ;)
