What the hell happened to athletic shoes?

Gavin McInnesArchive

It's bad enough that professional athletes wear ridiculous shoes with social justice slogans on them to "raise awareness".

(LANGUAGE WARNING:)

What's worse is that I have kids now and I have to buy them ugly, expensive sneakers that look they were designed by gay men and old ladies...

I fully agree. Even more, shoes should only be white or black, not both. They should have exactly eight lace holes on each side and rise four finger-widths above the ankle. And don’t even get me started about those queer faggots. What kind of man would like to have sex with another man; it’s just gross and should be outlawed because of it. In fact, so is fat people sex, or old people sex, or ugly person sex. All super gross. Really only attractive straight people under the age of forty should be allowed to do it.

My SIL has a friend that does women’s make-up for a living. He is also gay as a kite. He did my daughters make-up at her wedding. He is one these ugly little fags that flaunt their perversion .
Anyway , he just met the Love of his life . Some 72 year old pervert. It is LOVE for sure. To prove his love he had to purchase new Shoes. These shoes cost well over $1000 . They are made of the softest , best leather and have some type of holes or hooks so that when he strips down naked and the olde boys hoists him in the air, to beat him with the fancy leather whip——it doesn’t hurt his ankles.

More of the queering down of a generation. In high school in the 70’s (which was pretty gay already) you’d have been mocked into the fetal position for wearing something like these. I used to shrug off all the conspiracy theorists but I realize now that the tentacles of cultural marxism are entwined through every aspect of life.

Puma. I blame them, they started making their sneakers look like a pair of space age slippers that could be worn as dress shoes, It was all downhill from there.

You forgot to mention the gay guy is European.

Terry, never had Woolworths in Calgary. But I did visit Kresge’s in Medicine Hat.

Al Peterson; Woolco. Are kidding me, Woolco? Hah! What about Woolworths. Now that was a store.

It’s called getting old Gavin, cope with it

- with the wisdom of age comes the burden of keeping that wisdom from ruining the fun niave stupid “youts” have screwing up and learning from their mistakes so they can attain the wisdom of age and rant about their kid’s weirdness.

A wise sage once said: with great age comes great responsibility – and sensible shoes.

It’s all marketing, aimed at the proletarian lowest common denominator. How else are your going to get ’hood rats and their white “wannabes” to pay $200.00+ for a pair of shoes with their EBT cards?

It’s the footwear equivalent of “donks” on a car – it’s not like they will buy Clark’s, Rockport, or Sperry – too “white”…

Interestingly enough, the triggered Trigglypuffs are having a social media meltdown because the CEO of New Balance (the last maker of athletic shoes still manufactured in the USA) said something nice about President Trump. These retards are actually filming themselves setting their own shoes on fire!

Guess what brand of shoes I will buy for running when my present pair of NB’s wear out?

Ha! We were so poor and lived so long ago that our runners were canvas and weird smelling rubber “Basket Masters”. Actually those were the high end ones sold at Woolco. At camp we never took them off for the entire 10 days.

Don’t forget the Converse Chuck Taylor All Stars. The ones made in the U.S.A.

What ever happened to Ked’s and PF Flyers? Those were the only two brands of athletic shoes around when I was growing up…. and they were called “running shoes”? And they only came two toned: black fabric with white rubber…. and sometimes a red accent strip in the rubber. They seemed to work just fine…. without making a fashion statement.
