UPDATE: What They Won’t Tell Us About the Quebec Mosque Attack

Faith GoldyRebel Host

Six men slaughtered. Killed in cold blood while peacefully praying inside their local mosque. This week’s mass murder in Quebec City sent shockwaves, not just across Canada, but the whole world.

Irrespective of political stripe or profession of faith, there is a categorical acceptance of the fact that this attack ought to be investigated, prosecuted, punished, and condemned.

For many, there is a certain satisfaction in knowing the sole suspect, Alexandre Bissonnette, is behind bars, facing eleven charges of first degree, and attempted murder.

But for others, questions remain.

Questions about facts that are less categorical than the need to condemn the attack. Questions about who was involved and what motivated them. And why one narrative was seemingly deleted, and replaced by another.

Twelve hours after the attack, the official media narrative involved not one but two suspects who allegedly yelled, “Allahu Akbar!” while carrying out their murderous rampage.

Witnesses were interviewed across various media outlets. Witnesses who claimed to have been inside the mosque at the time of the attack. All alleged the same: Two assailants stormed in, opening fire while shouting, "Allahu Akbar!" As of Monday morning Canada’s state broadcaster, the CBC, conducted television interviews with witnesses who, again, corroborated the story.

Thirteen hours after the attack, police forces from every level, held a joint press conference in which they confirmed they had two "suspects" in custody. So, several hours after the attack, police held in custody a man who later was identified as 29-year-old engineering student Mohamed Belkhadir. Police confirmed they continued to treat Belkhadir as a suspect and detained him as such well after he was apprehended at the scene.

But only a few hours later, Belkhadir’s role in the attack shifted:

From a suspect who attempted to flee the scene, to a good samaritan and witness who was providing first aid to victims when he was wrongfully accused by police.

However, one consideration of how many CCTV cameras are in place around the mosque invites the question: When did police review the security footage and why did it take them over 12 hours to determine that Bissonnette was their sole suspect? Why was Belkhadir held for such a long time?

Bissonnette, a man who police say turned himself in shortly after the attack, and was willing to cooperate with police.  If Bissonnette was willing to turn himself in, why hasn’t he revealed his motive to police?

But the mainstream media can't be bothered with tough questions, quickly obsessed with a new narrative based on a few 'likes' on Bissonnette’s Facebook page.

The discovery that Bissonnette liked two of the most popular politicians on earth (US President Donald Trump and France’s Marine Le Pen) quickly transformed the narrative into a story about a young right-wing extremist committing a terrorist act, even if no terror charges have been laid.

Bissonnette's Facebook "likes': on Canada’s leftist NDP Party page, as well as that of their former leader Jack Layton, have attracted far less media attention.

Journalists and high-ranking politicians quickly jumped on the new narrative, condemning the so-called normalization of hate, and even blaming newly minted President Donald Trump for the attack.

Canada’s state broadcaster quickly shifted its tone. By evening, all witness reports involving two suspects or shouts of "Allah Akbar!" were deleted, and replaced with alternative facts. The CBC even interviewed the former suspect Mohamed Belkhadir and, despite his name being a matter of public record by then, the state broadcaster did not include his name or his face, and even scratched his voice!

Moreover, unlike cases of Islamic extremism, there was no apparent journalistic search for mental illness as the root cause.

Instead, media outlets quoted friends and neighbours who described Bissonnette as a polite and introverted individual from a good family. Classmates at Laval University-- even ones who debated politics with Bissonnette -- described him as someone who wasn’t at all hateful. One home video even seems to suggest Bissonnette is something of a conscientious environmentalist. But, again, no details about Bissonnette’s personal life have led the media to ask meaningful questions about what could have caused the suspect to allegedly commit such a heinous crime.

Without police reports on a possible motive, why hasn’t the mainstream media considered things other than Islamophobia?

Is there any relation, say, between one of the victims, Khaled Belkacemi, who was a Professor at Laval and the university student who allegedly committed this act? Or even the other university student who was set free?

I contacted Laval University and asked if either Alexandre Bissonnette or Mohamed Belkhadir ever took a class with the slain professor, but still await the university’s response.

After numerous emails to Quebec’s police media relations contacts, I visited headquarters, but was turned away without an interview.

There very well might be perfectly plausible answers to all the questions I have posed:

About the deletion and replacement of narratives, about why a witness was detained for so many hours before being set free, about the CCTV footage, and about the relations between the accused and the victims.

These are valid questions. Someone simply needs to ask them.

And the answers are out there.

I’d just like to hear them.

You just know that when they flew in Mansbridge to save the day, that the cover up is deep and wide.

Okay, I think I understand the leftie rules here …

1. If the shooter is classified as right wing by the main stream media then the shooter is a terrorist.

2. If the shooter is classified as left wing or Muslim by the main stream media, then the shooter is
“mentally ill”
or
“a victum of workplace oppression”
or
“a poor disadvantaged misunderstood person who has been oppressed by the evil right wing privileged white patriarchy”.

How did I do. Are those the rules?

I am sorry if these are not quite correct because my leftie decoder ring got lost in the mail.

Yes, I agree. There are far too many unanswered questions about this tragic event. There are far too many conflicting accounts being given. There are far too many “holes” in the stories that there are many “red” flags being raised!

And, for the Prime Minister of a country to take it upon himself to go after “Fox News” for a twitter statement boggles my mind. This raises even more red flags for me. The first that I heard about the shooting was from Fox News on Sunday evening about 9:30 p.m. I checked CTV, CBC, and Global News networks many, many times for the story until about midnight. I did not find any.

Then on Monday, I learned that there had been a media blackout imposed (by whom?). The fact that mainstream media are not questioning the publication ban also raises more red flags. And, the fact that mainstream media in Canada assented to this is even more chilling. Canadians must be provided with all the factual information about this. If this is not provided, conspiracy theories will abound.

Aside from the legality of the weapon, another question that appears to be ignored in by the msm is why and how did this nerd-like guy end up with an assault weapon? The early reports were that the shooters were heard reloading their weapons. How did he learn how to use it? It was reported that he was picked up with 2 assault rifles? Who was the other for? Another oddity is that initial reports, including on CBC, had 3 shooters.

@anonymous…I have been puzzling about that as well. The stigma attached to that gun is so strong you cannot even purchase a .22 cal that looks like one. I am aquainted through my shooting association with people who have museum licences and are grandfathered to possess prohibited firearms, but I have only had the chance to handle and fire one once….they are highly overrated BTW and there are several non restricted guns I would much rather own.

The only gun that looks like one (but is actually a much better made piece) that you can get in Canada is the controversial Czeska Zbrojovka 858….this may be why no further mention has been made of the guns….

As long as the government can keep this event behind the curtain of “active ongoing investigation” their media can create any manner of propaganda and false narratives.

The answer we need at this point is quite simple. Was the gun used in the crime legally obtained by the accused perpetrator Bisonette?

Very good report Faith. I listened to msm radio coverage continuously on Monday morning and was quite surprised when all of a sudden the story changed from repeated references to multiple witness reports of two shooters, both with black masks or balaclavas, both with AK47-like guns (plural), who were both apprehended; one at the scene, one some distance from the scene to one shooter (who had confessed) and one witness. The timing of this significant flip flop seemed to coincide with the revelation, on social media, of the names of the two shooters. It’s very odd also that a suspected shooter who has been reported to be wielding an assault rifle at the scene of a mass shooting would go from suspect to harmless witness so quickly.

It’s possible that there was political pressure from within the law enforcement bureaucracy to avoid a “Muslim on Muslim” shooting spree or alternatively, one of the shooters was clever enough to dupe the local cops into believing he was just along for the ride and things got out of hand. Plenty of reasons to keep digging into this fascinating story.

What I would like to know is where that AK-47 came from.

Faith; one key question that needs to be asked is was a blood test conducted on this guy to check for drugs or medications that may have caused him to flip out ?
Seems a common thing to do when winding up a patsy to a commit crime.

The headline should read – What Can I Make Up To Get Clicks From Bigoted Conservatives That Desperately Need To Hear The Words “Allahu Akbar!” Associated With Any Attack.

CBC claiming white Christians are Canada’s mass shooters is pathetic even for them.

Kelly Weber that tweet was done by an idiot who probably believed the Trump golden shower BS.

detaining a suspect for a lengthy period of time is not out of the ordinary if the suspect didn’t lawyer-up and was cooperating and answering questions. but suddenly going dark and quiet about 2 suspects yelling god is great and opening fire with no explanation why the narrative suddenly changed is very suspicious indeed. again, smells like dead , rotting fish.

Since 9/11 – IN THE NAME OF ISLAM (SATAN): 32,736 Attacks, 209,889 Killed, 293,516 Injured that we know of.

Main stream media is good for weather reports, car accidents and sports scores, if you care about that sort of thing. On all other issues don’t, ever expect the truth. If it doesn’t support their radical Marxist narrative, it didn’t happen. Here’s a short video, just over a minute long, detailing what was, what is, and what we can expect to come going forward from Islam:

So now we have a suspected mentally ill individual classified as a terrorist, terrorizing suspected terrorists that aren’t terrorists and leaving the public terrorized because they don’t know who is the true terrorists are ????

I smell the foul stench of Trudeau in this obvious cover up. He is making a lot of money, importing Muslims in exchange for Saudi Gold.
He is a Traitor to Humanity and Canada.

And now we have the PMO’s office scorning Fox News for reporting that there was a Morocco identified as a gunman. Which even the CBC had broadcast at one point. Apparently FOX had not yet removed a Tweet and it was unsettling to Trudeau. FOX News has now removed the Tweet.
Perplexing.

Christian Inkster commented – “I wonder if Bissonnette is the next best thing they have to a Timothy McVeigh/Terry NIchols type suspect.”

With the thick Globalist identity politics oozing from the lugenpress narratives in this I think they will be painting him as some sort of Dylan Roof white supremacist Québécois

CBC Power and Politics was talking about ‘fake news’ today, however, they (Ian Capstick) were saying the fake news was, in this case, coming from Fox. They have now redefined fake news as news from anything other than the MSM. How convenient. I could only listen to 40 seconds of this despicable propaganda. If only they realized that fake news means ‘them’!
Thanks Faith.

Very good report Faith & again more questions than answers. As for the CBC their reporters don’t hold a candle against The Rebel reporters, can’t believe anything they say. Their “go to” is always the same, accuse the right & use made up words like islamaphobia & xenophobia & like I mentioned in another post, funny that CBC is not throwing in the “mental” status of Bisonnette as they have done for every other attack in Canada where the shooter was white but an Islam convert, the double standard is so apparent. How convenient also not to include the NDP & Jack Layton in his list of “likes”. Faith, you must keep hammering the police for answers, before they shut everything down. Right now, it doesn’t look good at all on them with the different scenarios that are contradicted by those inside the mosque. I sincerely hope that they are not resorting to the political correctness which is rampant today. This young man looks more like a fifteen yr old than a twenty seven yr old & after viewing that video of him talking about ALS & his support for the cause, it’s hard to believe he’s the perp, now in jail. There’s an awful lot that doesn’t smell good in this story.

Well done, Faith. Keep digging up facts. There seems to be something the media is hiding.

Of course, suppressing facts and evidence is not unusual for the main stream media.

Catherine O’Keeffe – who said he was an “Islamophobe”? Did Police? No – there is no motive yet.

The screen captures on his social media accounts show many “likes” by Muslim users and a. number of Muslim "friends – of course his public profile has bee quickly erased.

Lloyd – The shooter does not fit either the Psycho killer or terrorist profile – these tyes either suicide themselves or force the police to do it for them, they are rarely taken unto custody. This guy called 911 and surrendered after he got away.
commented 2017-01-31 22:09:04 -0500
But the guy Bissonnette had a twitter account and a facebook page, his twitter name was FLQ33 for federation of liberation of Quebec, the separatist movement of 70’s that kidnapped Richard Cross and killed P.Laporte, and most his friends on twitter were having a twibbon with the nationalist Quebec flag, so the guy is a nationalist socialist extremist he is a member of Parti Quebecois , the party that hates Anglos and want to control what quebecers are wearing when they go at the grocery store, we’re dealing with a white French Quebec isolationist who wants immigrant to speak French, media won’t tell you that , because they are like them, isolationist French Pquist , the scum that want Quebec to become a socialist French ghetto , I know them I live here, and I doubt this guy acted alone , where did he find the machine gun ? , Quebec the place where there is a registry for everything, where guns are prohibited, .
