“Kooky” taxpayer-funded academic mocks Christmas — but don’t make fun of her weight

Mark LathamRebel Host

Tax payer funded university lecturers mock Christmas, but won't tolerate criticism of their causes. Political correctness gone mad!

Melbourne University academic Lauren Rosewarne has written an article mocking Christmas, including trivializing the recent disgraceful move by the Australian discount store Big W to remove the word "Christmas" from their Christmas trees.

She also appeared on national television, criticizing people who mock overweight people (such as herself) but then is happy to mock a national event of central importance to Australians.

Tammie, please do not make fun of the Christians on here. When we see the name of Jesus being made fun of we respond. But we respond in a respectful tone. Please show some respect.

Jay Kelly, again, your posts remind me of Homer Simpson, Doh!

Robert Raymond seeks to remind me that: “The people that denied Joseph and pregnant Mary’s need for shelter were Hebrews and not Christians.” Thanks for the reminder, buddy. By ‘Hebrews’ do you mean ‘Jews’?

Maybe if you gave it some serious thought you would see who turned Mary and Joseph away. Yes, they were likely Jewish, as Mary and Joseph were, but it is not because they were Jewish that they turned the young couple away.

In Canada today there are people who want to turn away those in need (especially refugees). Statistically the vast majority of the ‘refuseniks’ are Christian or secular background. But it is not being Christian or secular that makes people turn hateful. It is a hardening of the heart that can take place in anyone of us.

A good and prayerful exercise would be this: picture in your mind a young pregnant couple from another land arriving in your neighbourhood and asking for basic shelter. How does your heart respond to them? How do you respond to them?

Great post Karan Singh.

“Melbourne University academic Lauren Rosewarne” – hypocritical, elitist nutjob is a better description !

As long as she stays in Australia and Sarah Hoffman stays here, the earth may stay somewhat in balance. If Hoffman ever holidays down under, all bets are off.

Karan Singh….Thank you. Twice.

When the “happy holiday” leftist vomit was hurled at us several years ago, it was the last straw for me, and was a turning point in my life. They talk about division and polarization in Canada and the US, this ridiculous attack on Christianity sent me to where I am now. Secularism is one thing, changing what our founders based our system on is another, and M103 and the subsequent disaster is another. It is and always will be CHRISTMAS….but if JTs caliphate comes to fruition, it will eventually only be Christmas in the minds of a dying population. Jay Kelly is too stupid to see this, and will pay the price.

The behaviour of this Marxist nutjob makes sense.

JAY KELLY commented: Are you still willing to defend Christianity?

Jay, mohammed was a highway robber, bandit, murderer, scoundrel, rapist, pedophile, sadistic barbarian. Are you still willing to defend islam??

The man arrives in Bethlehem with everything going against him. His wife is in labour with a child who is not his own, there is no place for them in any inn. She ends up giving birth to the child in a cattle stall.

Are you still willing to defend Christianity?

Seriously, are you willing to speak up for the rights of others?

Why do these people always attack things that bring joy or happiness to others? What makes them so devoid of joy and afraid of being human?

If you can dish it out you better be able to take it. These self important gimps love to criticize what others hold sacred but then they get all upset when someone dares criticize a cause or anything else they hold sacred. Elitist hypocrites are sad and pathetic.

Left wing grinches trying to steal Christmas apparently having no real purpose in their lives.

I am not a Christian but still it’s always been ‘Merry Christmas’ for me. Any leftist trying to be shove his/her multiculti PC greeting on me by saying ‘happy holidays’ or some other such BS gets a ‘Merry Christmas’ accompanied with a small lecture in return. I am proud of Christian origins of Canada. This great country was founded on Christian faith & values and nobody should be allowed to change it.
Will any of the these retarded multiculti PC leftist would say ‘Happy Arabian Day’ or ‘Happy Sheep Butchering Day’ instead of traditional islamic greeting of eid mubarak??

Universities in Australia, as with Canadian universities, are given huge public grants to provide post-secondary education to the young people of their own countries as well as to international students.

To those who are not able to attend these universities, the courses may seem mad. Some people study corn-growing methodology while others study the effects of yoga on memory.

It is a bit bewildering at times but it is part of our education system. Give our young people the benefit of the doubt.

In Canada sometimes instead of “Christmas Parties”, Lefties have “End of Season Parties” and they celebrate with “Holiday Trees”, not “Christmas Trees”. I don’t go to “End of Season Parties” and I don’t have a “Holiday Tree”. I’m not a Leftie.

They mock Christmas but are actually mocking Christ, and those who have faith in him as our saviour. The left-wing are two-faced by saying they are tolerant, but they are anything but. They are nonsensical and judgemental in their condemnation of others who have true faith in Jesus. They have nothing but empty minds, and therefore empty hearts and souls. I truly pity them for they are eternally lost.

Bottom line – we tolerate it so it happens.

Maybe not this crew, but the majority of Canadians tolerate it as being normal.

Just my opinion, but it tells me a lot about the modern day Canadian academic.

I cannot bring myself to think of them as anything but trash.
