Senator Denise Batters from Saskatchewan has released a scathing video detailing the ties of Prime Minister Justin Trudeau’s Senate appointees, to the Pierre Elliot Trudeau Foundation.
The foundation was created by the former Prime Minister’s friends and family and according to their website, focuses on human rights, responsible citizenship, Canada’s role in the world, and people and their natural environment.
According to Senator Batters’ video, Trudeau has made what she describes as inappropriate appointments to the Senate and other prominent positions within the Liberal Party, and it isn’t terribly difficult to find the information with a simple Google search.
Browsing the foundation website, you can see Peter Harder was a Trudeau Foundation advisor who has now been appointed to lead the Trudeau transition team and the Senate. Dawn Lavelle Harvard and Huguette Labelle also have foundation links and sit on the Senate Advisory Panel. Frances Lankin, Patricia Bovey and Renee Dupuis are appointed as independent Senators, Anne McClellan was appointed Chair of the Marijuana Task Force and Pierre Pettigrew is a Canadian European Comprehensive Economic Trade Agreement envoy who’s also a former cabinet minister.
It looks like our Prime Minister has taken a page straight from Hillary and Bill Clinton’s playbook, selling access and appointing friends to government positions through what’s disguised as a charitable group.
Hillary Clinton’s own personal assistant Huma Abedin was once employed with the Clinton Foundation and Clinton herself appointed 194 foundation donors to various State Department positions.
How long before we see Trudeau following in her footsteps with donor appointments? His own brother Alexandre was a senior advisor to his campaign and is also the Director of the Trudeau Foundation.
It just goes to show, Justin Trudeau will do whatever he wants and take any avenue to do it.
