Why liberals and conservatives will never agree

Ezra LevantRebel Commander

On last night's show, I spoke with William Gairdner about his new book, The Great Divide: Why Liberals and Conservatives Will Never, Ever Agree.

William explained how people have become too emotional in their arguments and are no longer able to have reasonable discussions over political disagreements.

I think that because Conservative are so used to being challenged that they're used to defending their beliefs and have not succumbed to outrage culture endemic on the left.

WATCH our discussion to see why I think the left is responsible for making civil discourse impossible, and to see what Gairdner wants his book to accomplish.

I’m so thankful that I ALWAYS think for myself and not allowed the Marxist Brainwashing to touch me ❤️🔥

Marxists ARE Abusers and that IS Fact, Truth and Reality ❤️🔥

It’s because our brains are wired differently. No amount of rational and logical argument can persuade a leftist off their socialist agenda. Not even abject failure .the latest example being Venezuela can dissuade them from the egalitarianism they profess. The perfect Utopia.

Emotivism. So true. The left these days can only shout or resort to violence. No debating skills whatsoever! Great guest! An accomplished individual.

William Gairdner, a very important Canadian thinker, moralist and writer with the strength of character to tell it like it is and the ability to tell it clearly! He should be required reading somewhere in our school system.
I experienced some fairly nasty comeuppances with the first book of his I read – ‘The Trouble With Canada…Still", glad for it, in hindsight – and so I have a little trepidation about reading this latest one…I can’t wait to get a copy.

It’s great to see Bill in such good health and as intellectually as vibrant as ever. He red pilled me back in the 90s about he nature of the political partisan divide – that message, and his new contentions, were never more pertinent.

We need more segments like this and less sensationalist diatribes. Reasoned debate not one sided outrage.

Private Willis’ Song
(from Iolanthe by Gilbert and Sullivan)

When all night long a chap remains
On sentry-go, to chase monotony
He exercises of his brains,
That is, assuming that he’s got any.
Though never nurtured in the lap
Of luxury, yet I admonish you,
I am an intellectual chap,
And think of things that would astonish you.
I often think it’s comical
How Nature always does contrive
That every boy and every gal
That’s born into the world alive
Is either a little Liberal
Or else a little Conservative.

When in that House M.P.’s divide,
If they’ve a brain and cerebellum, too,
They’ve got to leave that brain outside,
And vote just as their leaders tell ’em to.
But then the prospect of a lot
Of dull M. P.’s in close proximity,
All thinking for themselves, is what
No man can face with equanimity.
Then let’s rejoice with loud Fal la
That Nature always does contrive
That every boy and every gal
That’s born into the world alive
Is either a little Liberal
Or else a little Conservative.
