Why the right needs to literally fight back against violent protesters and defend free speech

StaffRebel Columnist

Left-wing thugs can utilize violent intimidation tactics in protests all they like, but only because those on the right never retaliate. This needs to change.

When you have protesters deliberately blocking the doorway to an event and shoving you off if you try to go through, you need to shove back and shove back harder.

This is what happened at a Ben Shapiro event and had it not been for a back door for attendees to go through, the event would never have taken place.

For the record, because I know I will be called out for this by the left, I don't advocate for punching a protester as he's being escorted out of a building. Rather, if you're at a rally or event and someone physically 'protests' against you, then that person should be fair game.

If you're blocking an entrance and don't move out of the way for people wanting to attend an event, I hope you have a trampling fetish, because Black Friday is going to come early for you.

What happened in Chicago was not the left expressing their right to free speech. They were trying to silence it.

“We shut it down!” they chanted when it was announced Trump wouldn't be coming.

The left, Black Lives Matter, Move On, etc have one goal. It is a goal they have perfected over the years. They can't beat you with stats. They can't win a debate against you. They only win by censoring you. And they do this through any means necessary.

InfoWars' Paul Joseph Watson made two videos recently explaining the truth behind the Chicago protesters, their agendas and where they come from. It's the reality the mainstream media is afraid to touch.

Lets be honest with ourselves: these are thugs.

When the protests in Chicago were deemed a success, it's clear that one of the goals was not to 'protest' Donald Trump. It was to silence him. But more so, they wish the event had gone on as scheduled so it would give them an excuse to riot.

These are people who attacked police and even blocked ambulances. They came to fight. They were ready. Their target wasn't just Trump. It was his supporters and the police, who were endlessly taunted. Those same police who would have been sure to protect the protesters if things got out of hand.

It was even reported by ABC that one Trump supporter claimed an anti-Trump protester shot at his car then tossed a brick at the windshield.

Trump was smart to call off his event. If it had went on, the barbaric intimidation tactics used by the left would have been in full swing. There would have been a riot. And many people would have gotten hurt.

And maybe that's what it will take for the left to know we aren't going to take it anymore. There needs to be a brawl.

And it's clear that's what Move On wants too.

A riot so vicious between Trump supporters and protesters will surely cause future Trump rallies to be scaled back or maybe even canceled before they can be scheduled. Not by Trump himself, but by governments wanting to avoid repeats of Ferguson.

But this is about more than just Trump and this election. This is about us vs them. Fundamentally, we let them protest. We let them speak. We let them argue. We let them kick and scream and bitch and moan. But then when they try to shut us down, that is when we need to show them we will not roll over. Their tactics won't work. Not anymore.

There is nothing more sacred than freedom of speech. The left hates it and only supports it when they have something to say. The moment they hear something they don't like, they will go to great lengths to silence you. It's disgusting and needs to end.

We on the right have put up with this nonsense for far too long.

Whether they physically prevent you from entering a building, shove you, slap you, punch you, or kick you – be ready to strike back.

It's time the left learned that if you play with fire you will get burned. And it's time for the right to be that fire that the left shouldn't toy with.

“If it takes a bloodbath, let’s get it over with. No more appeasement.” - Ronald Reagan

Atokenconservative, you are bang on with what you said – at least with the non-working left’s foot soldiers.

I think this is a good idea. But – be prepared to pay the price for it. That’s a big difference between the left and the right – conservatives are too aware of the value of things (like reputations, for example) to sacrifice such important things for a political cause. Left wingers couldn’t give a shit. Not only are they not going to be penalized for being assholes in public, they just don’t care if they are and they probably will be rewarded anyway. It’s similar to the reason right wingers don’t get active politically in the first place; they have JOBS! If you go to a political rally and get into a smackdown with some bearded welfare mom wearing a stained Feel the Bern t-shirt chances are you’re going to be unemployed soon, if you weren’t already. And if you were already unemployed, you’re probably there with your Hillary placard anyway. This goes to my earlier call for a volunteer security force for Rebel reporters, after Lauren got a bottle of that’s-not-mountain-dew! poured on her recently. It’s turning into a violent world out there, folks!

I agree that the left has always had its violent foot soldiers. Conservatives (I hate the term “the right”), just don’t because we reject violence as a way to change ideas and policy. The problem is the left is never punished for it. Trump has every right to hire more security and that security has every right to defend Trump and itself against violence.

Why is Trump the front runner…..people are sick & tired of the establishment & Trump is the opposite of that….more & more are rallying around him every day, Independents, Democrats, Republicans because they have had enough. Same goes with protests from the left, they’re exercising their right of free speech while stifling yours & it’s time for the right to give them back some of their own medicine & stand up. The left including Clinton are petrified Trump will win the general election & put a stop on their freebies.
Mr. Trudeau, you may have a love affair going on with Obama right now, however what is your relationship going to be with Mr. Trump if he wins? You went to the WH to “repair” the relationship, but isn’t this new upcoming relationship going to be the same as the former one between PM Harper & Obama, which you so vehemently criticized. Sometimes you have to wear the shoe if the shoe fits.q

Bloody amazing they are interviewing that guy who attacked Trump, making him out to be some kind of cool guy. When the dust settles there are going to be a whole lot of anarchists on the left put in their place. Bunch of bedwetters.

Don’t know about the Yanks, but there sure isn’t any fight in the Canadian Right.

Yes, there isn’t enough there to even form a party.

We need the right-wing equivalent of the NDP

That is, some party that we are not so concerned about getting elected, but standing up for our viewpoints, often stated in the Rebel.

That is not going to happen current cowardly, fear of antagonizing, wanting to get elected without rocking the boat current right-wing political element

Such a party will not cost the mainstream conservative parties any votes because they are courting those who would vote Liberal, and those of us will never vote Liberal/NDP, but rather vote for a social conservative independent candidate or not vote at all than give it to a symbolism over practicality social liberal or a cowardly foolish fear of being called a bigot by a bigot red Tory

The Canadian left-wing definitely fights back where it a right-winger were pull similar stunts at a university or union rally etc, the person would be immediately ejected, given a notice to not further trespass, and if any verbal or physical abuse was uttered by the righty, the left would charge him/her with uttering threats or even assault.

Nothing wrong with giving the left equality in this manner, but won’t happen with the current cowardly, fear of antagonizing, wanting to get elected without rocking the boat current right-wing political element

“Jamie, It is very hard to fight against a mental dialogue coming from the left. "

No it isn’t CLIFF. It just takes enough people who are willing to do whatever it takes to make headlines. And that could include civil disobedience. But I know from experience that their are very few people on the right who are willing to go that route.

NO!! – We need to RISE-UP and beat these Zombies down with whatever it takes to stop them from physically harming others. There is quite a contrast between retaliation & instigation! The “Rational” have a right to speak & be onsite without physical attack. We are dealing with mindless, dangerously deluded individuals and gang who are nothing more than barbaric Zombies. You need to watch some of those fiction movies on Zombies – then give this a bit of survival thought.

I see a bit of a contradiction here. On the one hand Mike says we need to have a brawl but then says that is exactly what the protesters want so that the lefty police will shut down all future rallies and that just means they win. I can certainly see that as a plausible strategy that would likely work which would really be a big blow for free speech.

I’m not sure if it’s a clear-cut “right” vs. “left” issue. Of course the folks are lefties, but Fox News condemned Donald Trump, as did Cruz and Rubio. Trump is being attacked from both sides, and while the right wing establishment weren’t behind the riots (let’s not call them ‘protests’), they were apologists for them; in fact Rubio basically called for out-and-out censorship. Ben Shapiro resigned from Breitbart in support of Michelle Fields’ very flimsy accusation of battery by the Trump handlers, with the only evidence being a poor angle video that shows nothing of how she described the incident, and a bruise on her forearm—circumstantial at best, and worse that a news reporter makes herself the story. If she has a case then sue—clearly her case is better aired in the court of public opinion. The media attack from all sides against Trump is unprecedented.

When right wing heavyweights like Carl Rove and Paul Ryan are meeting with left-wing billionaires to discuss how to defeat Trump, the thin veil between “right” and “left” begins to disappear. While I personally identify as “right” as a matter of convenience, I can say I that I have very little in common with folks like Carl Rove and Paul Ryan. It feels very much like ‘establishment’ politicians worry more about their supper than their political stripes; the fact that they aren’t even attempting to hide it just shows how emboldened they are, and how little respect they have for what many call “the silent majority;” the silent majority is the true “us”, but now we have to clearly identify who really is “them.”

Jamie MacMaster commented 1 hour ago: “Don’t know about the Yanks, but there sure isn’t any fight in the Canadian Right.”
Because there are no ‘Canadian Right’ or ‘Conservatives’ left, they are gone to the pages of history with Mr. Harper, what’s left is only a very corrupted form of CINO. If you remember before Donald Trump there was nobody talking about these sensitive & politically suicidal issues as uncontrolled immigration & islamisation in USA, he has the wits & courage to stand up & speak for majority of Americans, whereas, unfortunately, in Canada there’s no such brave soul to be found as to speak of.
We Canadians certainly need another political front, present conservatives will never fight for the rights of true Canadians, they are too busy imitating liberals in their policies.
