Elections Canada, the impartial, non-partisan arbiter of what is allowed in Canadian elections, signed a contract with the Assembly of First Nations and paid them nearly one million dollars to increase voter turnout among aboriginals.
The AFN was supposed to encourage First Nations members to register to vote and teach them how to get ID if they needed it.
Another thing the AFN was required to do (according to the contract) was be non-partisan.
But the AFN is a completely political group and Elections Canada should know that.
I’m sure no one was surprised when AFN leaders made political comments and endorsed candidates during the election on an “Anybody But Conservative” basis.
Elections Canada pushed through a sole sourced contract to the AFN - a contract worth just shy of one million dollars even though the norm in government circles is that any contract above $25,000 must be put out to tender.
Whether you vote Conservative, Liberal, NDP or Green, every Canadian should want fair and impartial elections. How confident do you feel that this is the case when one of the groups selected to run the voter outreach had key leaders pushing an anybody but Conservative message?
Do you think this would stand if the Canadian Taxpayers Federation was chosen to push a low tax message while also getting a million dollars to register people to vote?
The whole contract stinks and Elections Canada refuses to answer key questions about the situation including whether or not they’ll rescind any part of this ongoing contract in the next election.
We can’t have advocacy groups that push a particular message getting large sums of government money to increase voter turnout.

READ Brian Lilley's book CBC Exposed -- It's been called "the political book of the year."
The CBC actively campaigns for Justin Trudeau and the Liberals, so why should we subsidize them?

The socialist parties (Liberal and NDP) , the unions and the media are all integrated , a cabal, an unholy trinity. So are the left going to make things fair by reducing the budget of the CBC, their propagando outlet? Are they going to reduce the size and scope of the unionist bureaucracy? Not likely.
Before the elections in Ontario, ALberta and Canada we had something great to lose. Our Canada. But it isn’t our Canada anymore. The values of these leftists are not my values. For conservatives, we no longer have a voice in what Canada is today and tomorrow. I think we need to peacefully walk away from the disaster which is papa Trudeau’s constitution and reconstitute it based on the values that built the country.
Well, Saskatchewan had its worst provincial government already. They were just ahead of the curve. Luckily Brad Wall turned that province around and now it is the only bastion of freedom left in Canada.
No all the damage is done maybe they’ll look into it! You dam right they are going to look into it!!!
People have to have jerks like this deciding who has to go and who they can manipulate =in who the hell are you that you are going to decide for other people? You sure as hell don’t decide for me!!
So what compensation are people who absolutely despise Socialist Government going to get for retribution?
Have you any idea how much quality of life and income lost you have caused? Of course not your too busy controlling people and too slow to realize the nuisance that you really are – I do not want to see this corrupt group managing any election Provincial or Federal again! What can we do to get these people terminated from management of voting during elections in Canada?
Is there nothing that isn’t rotted through the floorboards in this country anymore?
2) the legislative branch is Liberal
3) the executive branch is Liberal
4) the judicial branch is Liberal. The judges seem to always rule in favour of the Liberals or against the Conservatives.
5) the senate will soon be Liberal once Justin stacks the senate with Liberals.
6) the media is Liberal and always seem to report in favour of the Liberals.
If no people in any of the above list is interested in democracy, the why the hell do we bother? Why the hell do they bother to pretend that they want democracy?
There seems to be no point anymore since Conservatives have zero influence anymore. How is that democracy?
