A Somali migrant is now accused of five counts of attempted murder in a terrorist attack in Edmonton, but even now Public Safety Minister Ralph Goodale is confident that Canada's immigration and Refugee vetting system is working just fine.
It's being reported that Abdullahi Sharif, the suspected terrorist who attacked a police officer and pedestrians in Edmonton, was ordered deported in 2011 from the United States.
Yet Sharif was still able to come to Canada because according to Canadian rules he met eligibility requirements.
When asked by reporters if the blame for the Edmonton attack should fall on the shortcomings in Canada's immigration and refugee vetting system, Goodale said, “There's absolutely no evidence of that whatsoever. The investigation is ongoing but that conclusion is just not supported by facts.”
I don't believe Goodale. WATCH my video to see why.
How can we feel safe and confident there are measures in place to prevent terrorist attacks when there are more migrants, fewer and sloppy vetting measures and a public safety minister who won’t admit that the immigration system has failed to keep us safe from terror?
