Wildrose MLA Panda urges OPEC ban in favour of ethical Canadian oil

Sheila Gunn ReidRebel Host | The Gunn Show

I know legislature business can be so boring but I actually have an exciting motion to tell you about being brought forward by Wildrose MLA Prasad Panda. It’s formally known as Motion 505 and it's pretty darn crafty:

“Be it resolved that the Legislative Assembly urge the federal government to introduce legislation to phase in a ban on the import of oil from countries with a poor human rights or environmental record and develop strategies to facilitate the building of pipelines within Canada to ensure better prices for Alberta oil and security of supply to Canadian markets.”

Motion 505 is a thing of beauty and a real no brainer when Albertans are suffering from double digit unemployment and spiralling provincial debt. Our oil is ethical, safe, and employs Canadians. Of course, we should be encouraging other Canadians to use Canadian oil first.

But there is another level of political savvy here at work in Prasad Panda’s motion.

It’s going to either force the NDP to alienate their radical environmentalist base when they have to agree that Canadian oil is the best, safest, most ethical on the planet or the NDP will reject the motion, revealing themselves for who they really are:

Fringe oil hating whackos.

It’s their call.

Bagg. I looked at your link. Would you seriously come into the public square and promote that as some sort of rebuttal? Well thanks for demonstrating first hand you’re an ignorant redneck!!

Harley McCartney—Good post ,we should all be well off, look at Alaska, they don’t pay taxes. Look at the Saudi citizens, they don’t work. They bring in workers to do the work.
We in Canada also bring in people called Refugees; our citizens do the opposite, we work for them so they can have the welfare and all the benefits . After 1.5 years they are 83% unemployed.
Our Federal Gov’t is plain stupid.

We should not be in debt at all. Look at the billions send to opec. dictator ships with horrendous human rights records. What a shame.

Hey DD……how would a good swift kick in the BAGG be?

I have posted this rant many times before sorry but here i go again. Canada imports now 750,000 barrels a day from opec. These ships run on bunker C oil the lowest dirtiest grade from half way round the world and no carbon tax for them. These tankers also wash their tanks out at sea fouling shore lines and reefs of many countries and those countries are piss about it. Canada has enough oil, gas, coal minerals, wood to last three hundred years. Canada couls easily be self sufficient. Why are we selling the raw products then buying them back at inflated prices.

No one should be unemployed in Canada (those who want to work) heres how. Build a pipe line East.
Even Quebec has dumped raw sewage into the ST. Laurence if they dont accept the pipeline stop transfer payments. Turdo cant impose a carbon tax, then impose a pipe line. We as Canadians should be receiving dividend checks every month. We sell clean coal burn technology to China they are bringing a coal fired power plant line monthly. We have a coal seam the extends across thee provinces and some of the best in the world. Look at Wind bag and Nutley shutting down electrically fired coal plants for green BS has caused sky rocketing prices. Put more coal fired plants on line in Canada.
Stop selling our resources for nothing. Canadians should all be well off, Enough money for Healthcare,
Seniors pensions, the disabled just to name a few. Business experience should be a prerequisite for our next PM. These elites are all idiots Ratchel,Turdo tater,Wind bag.

When Fagonista No Nuts Justin and Nicotine Notley find the excuses necessary to squelch this logical and common sense motion, it will at least be more ammo to throw at the band of Bolsheviks when the time comes to oust them.

Great file photo of the Fairview Floosy. It looks like she used the app on her cell phone where you take a picture of yourself and then it shows you what you would look like in 40 years. That is quite the look Rachael. She could hide that $80,000.00 Suburban with her eight body guards in one of her wrinkles.

Keep at em SGR. You are doing a fine job.

You’d have thought Junior would be leading the charge on such a virtuous and noble undertaking…but no. His feminist and Islamic concerns are far more important.

Now I like Pandas even more

If Saudi money dried up the royal family would be packing their bags and seeking asylum in Europe . Then maybe the Hashemites could go back to the Arabian peninsula and Israel could claim part of the original British Mandate Palestine. Ha, Panda you’re a genius.

If no one bought the Saudi Oil, they would make money selling their dates. With the profits on their yearly date crop, even the Saudi King would have to get a job.

Glenn Craig, good points. I like the BANKRUPT THEM approach!

This is the project number one core policy that Canada needs. Trump seems to know this already. It even addresses the issue of middle east conflict and global rise of jihad most effectively. Instead of the Bush blunt instrument approach of military intervention or the Obama approach of Byzantine intrigue, use economics to bring down the regiemes that fund the propagation of that old time religion. BANKRUPT THEM!!

The NDP are Whacko’s and they are to dumb to change.

I can only imagine the amount of money being paid to the Trusted Foundation, just to keep Canada buying Saudi Oil.

Good motion indeed, finally in our favor. If the Liberals &/or NDP vote against it, they will be showing their true colors.
commented 2017-03-28 19:28:33 -0400
The NDP wil probably try to amend it so that it is meaningless or declare they can’t interfere with federal politics. Can’t see them passing it.

I enjoyed The Rebel’s pro-Panda election video last year. Looks like it was correct, he is a fighting Panda.

I will be interested in the Non-Democratic Party reaction. Particularly the invisible energy minister since this is, in theory, her responsibility, and many of her constituents are unemployed due to the destruction of the oil industry.

Motion-105 makes the most sense to many of us; however, our PM is beholden to those unethical, human rights violators. Add to that, the Liberal government turned it’s back on Canada, well before the election.
commented 2017-03-28 18:40:34 -0400
Kudos to Panda for Motion 505. I pray it passes, but doubt it will. Our current provincial and liberal governments seem to hate Canada and Canadians, so if something is good for our country & our people, the NDP & Libs will not go for it.

Crafty in deed , good one PANDA

Is it safe to hug a PANDA ?
Thanks SHEILA !!

Well, I hope this bill backs the NDP into a corner.

Something has to change in Alberta as not only are people losing their jobs at an alarming rate, but small businesses who depend upon the oil and gas industry are also going down, and they are not included in that alarming 200,000 plus lost jobs statistic.

My guess is that the NDP will not vote for this Wildrose bill becuase they do not care one whit how Albertans perceive them. They know they are a one term mistake and are going to rape Alberta to the maximum while they have the chance.

That was a nice picture of Rachel Notley that you dug up. Ha. Of course it makes sense to produce our own oil.

I hope it does pass – but the dippers are not friendly towards Alberta despite being the rulers.

If it does pass the limp wristed boy in Ottawa will listen to his advisors and ignore it. His ties with islam are tight. His own brother makes propaganda films for Iran.

Butts and Omar the tent maker will convince the limp wristed boy to stay the course.

Let’s see how the CBC handles this one!

Interesting times ahead.
