Ontario Premier Kathleen Wynne’s approval ratings are the lowest they’ve ever been. She needs to remedy the number one concern of the citizens in that province by fixing the cost of skyrocketing hydro bills.
According to sources, the government is aiming to lower the global adjustment rates that are tacked on to Ontario hydro bills. These are the added costs Ontarians pay to cover the $50 billion price tag for Wynne’s hydro plant upgrades and new wind and solar projects.
Apparently, the government now has a plan to reduce hydro bills in either one of two ways:
1) change the way programs to help those who can’t pay their bills are funded, or
2) change the way the global adjustment is calculated so it’s spread out over time.
Watch my video as I run down the reasons why this is just more smoke and mirrors coming from the Ontario government that still leaves the burden on ratepayers and taxpayers.
Imagine how many governments are falling for the failed green energy trap by phasing out coal in order to virtue signal to the world that they’re enviro-friendly warriors.
Alberta’s Premier applauded Kathleen Wynne for paving the way in climate leadership, basically giving the green light on actions that will leave Albertans in this exact situation if we don’t put a stop to it.
In reality, Ontario’s green energy scam should be a lesson in what NOT to do when implementing new clean energy strategies.
