Wynne’s minimum wage hike hits working poor with 24% jump in daycare costs

Sheila Gunn ReidRebel Host | The Gunn Show

Working parents in Toronto are seeing a nearly 25% hike in their daycare fees, all thanks to Kathleen Wynne’s latest minimum wage hike.

On January 1, Ontario's minimum wage skyrocketed to $14 per hour and the ill effects were nearly immediate.

Some Tim Hortons franchisees announced they would be cutting voluntary perks and paid breaks to cope with increased labour costs.

Minimum wage and entry level workers the Liberals claimed they were helping, were the first ones hurt by these SJW business policies.

Now, we’re learning about another unintended consequence.

Toronto parents - already paying some of the most expensive daycare fees in the country -say those costs have jumped 24% this month as a result of the minimum wage hike.

The Ontario government knew this rise in day care fees would happen when they hiked the minimum wage, and I’ll prove it to you.

Ronald Reagan was right when he said the nine most terrifying words in the English language remain: I'm from the government and I'm here to help.

OK Billy Howard… I see where you are coming from… It wasn’t “real” incompetence on Harper’s part, but the MSM sure blew it up to be… My biggest regret, aside from the obvious “twit” who was elected, is that the National Post, under Jonathan Kay, turned its editorial and “news” pages into a Harper Hunt… I have often wondered how Conrad Black feels about what “Postmedia” has done to his once objective newspaper…

James Crockett so where is Justins outrage over the fake report? Should his progressiveness not be offended? Or is it OK to falsely accuse Asians of crimes?
commented 2018-01-17 01:56:44 -0500
James Crockett are you saying the news handled this the same way they do other stories? LMAO! You truly are a sheep.
commented 2018-01-17 01:55:55 -0500
James Crockett some people actually used their brains and knew it was fake. You do not use a minors name in a case like this. And this is hardly the only one, if there is such a problem then why the need for phony claims? And why nothing from Justin on the horror in Edmonton, oh those kids are not the right kind of people. And why will there be no charges for this hoax and it is a hate crime for them to have reported this.

Somehow I am not surprised.

Despite the fact this will look bad, I have to admit it is too funny.

Give from the right and take from the left. Or vice versa – no matter – it will cost the working stiff a tonne of cash.

If you voted for the woman who is more of a man than most men you know, then you are not part of any solution, you are indeed the problem.

Increasing minimum wage also increases income tax collected by the Province and Ottawa.

Reagan said " Any government big enough to give you everything you need is big enough to take everything you have"

Wynnie is waiting in the wings to take away the children of parents who can’t afford to put their children in daycare. Or maybe she’s trying to help junior setup the national daycare system, so that they can brainwash the children at earlier ages.

I noticed it on other threads a few minutes ago. I am assured this has been fixed. I will find out momentarily.

Drew Wakariuk,

It wasn’t fake until an investigation further into it was done.

I watched the news one day with the original story and then the next news day it was revealed to be fake per the investigation.

That’s how news works, especially if it’s a police matter.

ANDY NEIMERS: The Oda $16 orange juice, the Duffy thing, etc. I know it isn’t much in reality, but the MSM built it up like Armageddon.

What never seems to be brought up about the wadge increase is.
For every $100 dollars in Canada pension the employee pays the employer must match it an send $200 to revenue Vanada.
For every $100 in EI the employee pays the employer must pay 1.5 time that or $150 and send in $250.
None of this takes into account the ever increasing carbon tax,GST,WCB,holiday pay, stat holidays
insurance, corporate taxes business taxes licencing.
Lots more job losses coming young people looking for first job good luck.

The GTA and Ottawa are not going to vote for weenie Patrick Bland Brown. . So You can anticipate Wynne for another term because they still have enough borrowing power to avoid benkruptcy.
We really should stop calling ourselves citizens. We are “subjects” , serfs living under the pretence of freedom and liberty.

Now that’s interesting Billy Howard… What kind of “ammunition” was that pray tell?…

James Crockett i see the liberals and their media all happy to report on their fake story in a nanosecond , what does that tell you about them? THINK REAL HARD!
commented 2018-01-16 01:36:08 -0500
James Crockett not much to say about another stupid Liberal policy?

PETER NETTERVILLE: IMO CPC could have won the last election under a new leader. MSM had too much ammunition against Harper and his PMO.

Hey Tammie,

Did you get banned? Be honest, since your name is different now. Why the double last name considering our names are automatic and we don’t need to enter them each time we post?
commented 2018-01-15 21:37:30 -0500
Well now, how could she have known this would have happened ………… just because it happened everywhere it was tried before? Wynne won’t let the history of their failure stop her from implementing failed policies. It didn’t stop her from implementing the “green” energy plan, did it?

Must be easy being a socialist who thinks the world is some commy utopia when it comes to government.

Troll, listen to the report. You will find the answer.

Andrew you do realize not only Toronto makes up Ontario. And by the way government run daycare is used by the rich in Quebec while some poor families wait. And that is FACT. And any hike in price hurts the poor more than the well off, what part of that eludes you? Are you suggesting it makes it better for them?
commented 2018-01-15 20:17:22 -0500
Does it actually impact the “working poor”? I’d like to see where they got the demographic data to support that claim. Anecdotally, parents with kids in daycare in Toronto … are generally pretty well off. They’re also the ones that don’t have daycare subsides, which the poor do.

The Goddess of perversion dose giveth with one hand and taketh with the other. I hate to think what she doeth with her mouth. A foot fetish perhaps? She can actually eat out while staying at home.

I think this doesn’t need an intro…
I prefer to see photos of Wynne and comrades in orange jumpsuits and shackles rather than in prison stripes and irons…or not…as long as they are attired in some kind of prison garb and restraints, administered by the state!
Make it happen!
Given enough rope…
