Wynne’s minimum wage hike hits working poor with 24% jump in daycare costs

Sheila Gunn ReidRebel Host | The Gunn Show

Working parents in Toronto are seeing a nearly 25% hike in their daycare fees, all thanks to Kathleen Wynne’s latest minimum wage hike.

On January 1, Ontario's minimum wage skyrocketed to $14 per hour and the ill effects were nearly immediate.

Some Tim Hortons franchisees announced they would be cutting voluntary perks and paid breaks to cope with increased labour costs.

Minimum wage and entry level workers the Liberals claimed they were helping, were the first ones hurt by these SJW business policies.

Now, we’re learning about another unintended consequence.

Toronto parents - already paying some of the most expensive daycare fees in the country -say those costs have jumped 24% this month as a result of the minimum wage hike.

The Ontario government knew this rise in day care fees would happen when they hiked the minimum wage, and I’ll prove it to you.

Ronald Reagan was right when he said the nine most terrifying words in the English language remain: I'm from the government and I'm here to help.

I’m sorry but I find this quite funny. Vote left, this is what you get. The gov’t will not save you, enrich you, nor will it give you a job, to liberals out there.

Wynne’s next move? Private day care too much? Free day care for everyone!

But the cancer that is Wynne and the Liberals can spread, the other provinces NEED to care!

Billy Howard said, "Stephen Harper’s main failing was that his ego prevented him from resigning, now look where we are. "

So if I understand you correctly, you are saying that Harper should have retired earlier and his staying in office as long as he had was bad for Conservatives? How so?

I am increasingly angry about the ongoing union protests at Tim Hortons locations. Exactly what laws did Tim Hortons violate? Until now they had a few perks which they didn’t have to provide by law. They cut some of them to be able to pay the new inflated union wages. So? It’s their prerogative. This is so ridiculous!

What’s even more ridiculous that those protesting abortion must stay 4 blocks away from abortion clinics but these dimwitted union thugs are free to protest wherever they want. Conservatives, please don’t stay at home on election day. Whether you think Patrick Brown is just another liberal or not, we can’t award this liberal government with another mandate.

I think the best Conservatives in Ontario can hope for is a Wynne minority government so they can get rid of Patsy Brown and take another crack at Wynne in a couple of years. Just sayin.

Hurry up Ontario and re-elect Wynne and go bankrupt so we can use you as an example to vote out the dogmatic leftists here in BC.
Patrick Brown’s ego is too big to simply resign and allow for a new “conservative” PC leader. He will run knowing he’s risking another Liberal gov’t there, caring little about the dregs (Ontario taxpayers).
It would be nice if Andrew Scheer would see the writing on the wall as well and let someone who isn’t Liberal Lite take over — for the sake of Canada, please Andrew, call for a new leadership vote.
Stephen Harper’s main failing was that his ego prevented him from resigning, now look where we are.

A 25% hike in baby sitting rates thanks to Wynne. As Gomer Pyle would say “Well surprise surprise”!
