On Saturday, I was standing in the middle of the staging yards for a Yellow Vest truckers convoy in Calgary, Alberta. After the convoy began, I raced downtown to catch their rendezvous with the Yellow Vest protests by Calgary City Hall.
This convoy, like others in the province, has been organized by grassroots Canadians. As you will see, the protestors, who were of many ethnic backgrounds, were met by a small contingent of all caucasian counter-protesters, calling the Yellow Vests bigoted xenophobes.
I chatted with some Yellow Vesters, on and off camera, trying to get an idea of what their message is.
Really what unites this convoy, these protestors, and this movement across Canada is unrest with the political establishment.
