Yeah, Donald Trump is Archie Bunker. So what?

Gavin McInnesArchive

I hate Norman Lear. He's the TV producer who took a lot of British class comedies and turned them into American shows like All in the Family.

(LANGUAGE WARNING)

Lear has never hidden the fact that he created these TV shows as liberal propaganda.

Lately, he's been crowing about how his most famous creation, the character of Archie Bunker, is just like Donald Trump.

Lear is so clueless, he thinks that's a bad thing...

Sarah,
Why can’t you stay on topic. With the likes of Meathead and his ilk, we would all be enjoying the wonderful comforts as they now have in Venezuela.

Imagine if ‘All In The Family’ premiered today. Would the un-PC stuff be censured?

Richard Meneguzzi,

No one said you can’t work 9 to 5 and still be a horrible bigot, racist and completely ignorant.

Do you think Archie treated his wife well – always telling her to shut the fuck up (stifle) and get me my beer?

He was terrible person that was entertaining to watch due to the amazement that someone could be like that. He never knew what he was talking about on any given subject.

Good point Richard Meneguzzi. My Dad always pointed out that very fact, and told us he wouldn’t tolerate any layabouts. Grow up, get a job, move out. That was it.

Ha, good point.

Jimmy troll give us a link. ta.

With the leftists’ admiration of Meathead and their distaste for Archie, they fail to realize that it was Archie who went to work every day and supported his family, which included the know-nothing, lazy Meathead who was a drain on society as well as the Bunkers.

Rick Plesnik,

He is gone at the end of the month. Ezra has confirmed this. You are fucking stupid.

Seems the statement by the Trolls that Gavin left the Rebel is not true……….. Wow, they sure do revel in misinformation, conjecture, and insults. Facts are foreign to them.

All in the Family was one of the best sitcoms ever! I keep waiting for the reruns but that will likely never happen with all the crybabies around now. I loved that show!

Dan Mancuso,

Yes – what a hero. Killing a soldier who wasn’t as good as everyone else, lying about it and trying to cover it up.

I just watched “A Few Good Men” last night. Good film.
I have always figured the hero in that Rob Reiner film was the Jack Nicholson character, Colonel Jessup, not the snot-nosed-punk lawyer, Lt. Kafee (Tom Cruise).
Jessup’s speech in the courtroom and most other lines his character delivers were the unvarnished truth as I see it!
I guess Rob learned from Norman real good.
Reiner’s ‘good-guys’ are the enemies of America, and the Colonel Jessups , Archie Bunkers and the Donald Trumps are the hope…
One of the worst ever scenes in film I’ve seen is the end of that movie where Lance Corporal Dawson does the salute thing with the snot-nosed-punk lawyer in the courtroom…it’s forced and saccharine and ugly and so painful to watch.
I like the medium of film, especially Hollywood, but you have to watch the sneaky bastards, very carefully…

Liza Rosie, well said. I had a Dad like that too and he was hilarious. Our generation knew tolerance, love and respect for the man that emulated Archie and his crazy life. Edith was played by an exceptional actress who did my Mom to a T. Who cares about back biting mean spirited name callers. It was our past, I’m with you. Let’s be proud of where we came from.

It’s Jimmy duh Sylva, Jack Carter, Michael Mann, Gordo and many more. All the same pathetic paid slanderous troll.

“We have a new troll on the rebel…”

Probably, MARTIN. And if nobody becomes its centerfold, it will just go away.

I don’t know what was funnier – all the Archieisms, or witnessing the shit hemorrhage he used to give the bra-burners that I knew. They detested poor old servile Edith just as badly.

We have a new troll on the Rebel – SARAH STALLONE, or at least the same troll using a new name.

Liza Rosie,

Like bigoted racist father, like daughter.

Right on cue. Stupid dog, go chase a car.

Liza Rosie,

Not surprised your Dad was Archie Bunker or that the right completely misunderstood All In The Family.

My Dad didn’t miss a show. My Dad WAS Archie Bunker. There was an innate common sense about him and you loved him in all his lack of PC. (that’s why we love you too Gavin). It was impossible for him not to speak the truth.
Meathead (and ‘little gorl’) may have thought he was sophisticated, but Arch didn’t call him ‘Meathead’ for nuthin. I’m sure we’ll all be called racist nazis for having an affection for old Arch.
Wow, those were the days when the poor thought of themselves as temporarily embarrassed millionaires? I still think of myself like that. God knows I’m still trying, and that’s the point. It’s how we were brought up.

Yup, Norman Lear’s own creation flew right over his head alright!
